TMI-Vaginal Discharge

I am 22 weeks along and have had some vaginal discharge, but yesterday morning something strange happened. After I went to the bathroom I noticed that there was a clump of slimy discharge in the toilet. It was clear/white in color. It was no bigger then the size of a nickle. Has anyone had this happen or had a similar experience.

This only happened one time and there was no blood or brown discharge.

Sorry if this is sort of gross but I did not know who else to ask.

Any thoughts

 

It sounds like your mucous plug. How far along are you? You should mention it to your doctor. Try not to worry about it, though. Many women lose it and reproduce it.

 

it is probably just one of those strange pregnancy things! but I would call your dr just to run it by them and see what they say!!

See what your doctor says I had the same thing happen around the same time you did and had no problems my doctor didn't seem to worried. The mucus plug can grow back I am sure mine did because I am now loosing it again, but over time this time. Not to be to personal but sex can cause it to come loose too.

 

Yes! You should definitely call your doctor about that. I had something similar that turned out to be an infection and I was given medicine for it. My doctor said that this is common in pregnant women.
