I don't think so ;) If it doesn't have anything to do with the reason you were banned/cut-off, I don't see why you shouldn't be able to

at about 20 weeks i was having my cervix measured and she said that at this point, since i'm having twins i'm cut off. no more sex because it can cause pre-term labor, breaking of water, etc.
so i stopped everything  just to be safe if you know what i mean.

i've been wondering about this too.....they haven't cut me off yet because my fluids are good and my cervix is nice and long. i do notice that after sex, with or without penetration, that my stomach tightens up a bit...i usually lie down for an hour or so and drink a ton of water and it goes away.

i have to say i'm afraid to get cut off......lol

    Why risk it?

Exactly! When you orgasm it causes muscles down there to contract and I have heard that can also lead to contractions/PTL. I would definitely talk to your Dr before you do anything. You have made it this far, why take a chance of having them be born early if there is no need.

In my opinion, not worth the risk when you are this far along ~ !

I was in the same boat. I couldn't have intercourse and I was advised against orgasm, so that was a drag. My cervix kept shortening and funneling at the ultrasounds so I was at risk of preterm labour.

Agree with pp. Dr said that orgasm could cause contractions and since I already had a short cervix, it was a big no no for me.

This is what I was thinking too. The muscle contractions can lead to PTL, so definitely not the risk. Now, if you're not stingy like me, your SO CAN have some fun, but no turn-about...just keep tabs for later :girl_devil:
