[SIZE=10pt]I am so beyond tired right now and it is making me feel so sick to my stomach and lightheaded. I took my 2 younger girls to the park today for a playgroup while my older daughter was in school and was gone for about 4 hours. I thought I was taking it pretty easy as I had plenty of water and snacks and actually didn't do much other than switch benches. So I sat pretty much the whole time, but now I am wondering if just that pushed me to much. ? . . . . I am a little over 20 weeks now . . . . . am I just having a bad day or am I just totally pushing it. I am used to being tired but goodness this is something else. :( Any advice? . . . . I saw your post topic nad had to read....I am not as far along but today was one of those days for me. DH actually is out with DD right now because I threw up earlier and did not think I could handle her alone tonight, he is normally gone. I thought I had gotten past m/s and never threw up until tonight....maybe something did not settle. and tired is not even the word to cover it!

anyway, just had to commiserate with you.

Hope you get to feeling better!

I remember when I made it to 20 weeks I felt like the whole pregnancy thing hit me like a ton of bricks. I had a ton of m/s, but at 20 weeks it was like my tolerance for normal activities went way down! Somewhere down the road it picked up again (only to go down again these last few weeks for me).....so I would say just listen to your body and don't push it. You have those feelings for a reason. Take care of yourself!

I remember saying to my OB..."I thought I was supposed to be less tired in my 2nd trimester." His response was, "You have twins, you're gonna be tired." The U/S tech was there at the time. She said, "You'll be fatigued for the next 20 years." Hope you feel better.

I never thought that I would end up done with work at 21 weeks. I had even cut my hours back but I just couldn't do it. Around 19 weeks if I worked even 6 hours I would go home feeling like I had been beat up. Then I wouldn't get any sleep and just felt horrible all around. As each week went by I was able to do less and less. Now when I go to the doctors its a big ordeal, I have to go home and lay on the couch the rest of the day. I eventually just stopped fighting it and thinking I should be able to do more and just started laying around.

I'd say take time and relax for the next couple of days (I know easier said than done). Maybe on the weekend ask your husband to watch the kids for awhile while you just relax. I give you alot of credit I get tired just with having my two, I couldn't imagine having 5 to take care of. Congrats and Good Luck!!! :)

I remember hitting a slump around 20 weeks. I had a great preg up until then, but from about 20-23 weeks I was pooped. My energy level is picking back up now.

Anyway, some insight, I never realized this with singletons, because I didn't have many ultrasounds; but my twins more than doubled their weights between 20-24 weeks. Apparently, this is a huge growth spurt time for the babies. Your body is working hard right now! Take it easy when you can and rest assured that most people get their energy back!
