Mine will NOT drink milk except at night.... no matter what I try.

Anyone have any great creative ideas on how to get them to drink it?

I'm not so worried about Abby as she eats cheese and yogurt, but Chase won't eat those things... so no added calcium for him.

Hmmm...have you tried the flavorings? Does he like cold cereal in milk? That's a sneaky way to get some into him!

My son gave up milk completely at 3, and won't eat dairy products with the exception of a yogurt about once a week. He's still healthy, but it drives me nuts!

Stef, I know some people have used chocolate milk as a vehicle for getting milk into their kids. What about Danimals (we call it Monkey Juice) or Yoplait smoothie drinks. They LOVE to drink them out the little container and mine are learning to drink out of cups with them!

Mine are almost 2 and it's hard to get milk in them. I bought some take and toss sippies with the backyardians on it and they really liked those cups. They happily drank their milk. So maybe try some colorful fun sippies.

I don't really have any suggestions, but can tell you that hopefully it is just a phase. When my 4 year old was 2, he went through a phase where he refused to drink milk. Now he can't get enough of it. He prefers it over lemonade and juice!

Not much help here -- mine mostly drink it at night too. They sip a little at breakfast and lunch, but only chug at night.

Have you tried calcium-enriched juice for Chase? I know juice is supposed to be kind of a no-no on a regular basis, but in this case it might be worth it. Or maybe he would like some ice cream every couple of days? ;)

Audrey wouldn't drink milk for nothing!! I finally bought some Nesquick and started adding it to her milk. She'll drink it all now and ask for more!! Abigail is the opposite and will only drink white milk.

Thanks gals for all the ideas!!

We do the calcium enriched juice on a daily basis as recommended by a nutritionist.

And they won't take the chocolate OR strawberry, either. GEE WHIZ!!! LOL!

I can get him to eat some ice cream, though! Maybe I will try that every few days.

Glad to hear there are others out there who have similar problems, and still have healthy kiddies! :)

"No sugar added" Carnation Instant Breakfast is great, and it's full of nutrients. I give it to my son once every two days with his milk. He loves it!

Mine drink enough at night to meet requirements but we got some really cool milk straws at the store. They have flavorings in the straw and as you drink it it flavors the milk
