Can we add a section about timeouts & disciplining toddlers to the Toddler Guidebook (sticky post up above) or something? I really think it would be great for all of us to have a place to go to read about successful discipline tactics, timeouts and alternatives to timeouts etc.

I could do a search but think it would be very useful to have a section to refer to.

I will post a separate question about my situation shortly.

I will pass this question along to my co-mods to see if it can be done. Thanks for the suggestion!

I think the reason it hasn't been done is this can be an extremely explosive topic. Usually discipline questions end up with at least one or two people taking exceptions to something someone suggests, and it can be almost as ugly as political discussions, unfortunately. Would be nice if we could all cut each other some slack, but I think that would take a perfect world.

That's too bad. I was just hoping for one section to group all the discipline posts together. I did a search yesterday and it took some time but it answered quite a few of my questions.

I don't think that's the case. I believe it's because it just hadn't been thought of.
