OK, I'll start! My babies aren't exactly "babies" any more, but that's alright!

James is my big man. He is almost walking and he is soo happy. He really brightens up any room with his sparkling personality! There is nothing better than walking in after his nap is over and hearing him scream "Hi!!!!" and dance around.

Sean is my "dual personality" baby. At home is a blast. Screaming and laughing and playing. Around "strangers" he is just a sweet angel-boy. He draws in people with eyes and his wonderful warm personality. He knows a lot of words, he seems to collect them. His new word is "Die!!" (That's what Daddy says while he gives out "vicious" ticklings.)

    I'll play!!!

I have such good baby boys ... even with Con in his cast, and both of them sick half the time lately, they are just such happy babies. Always smiling and laughing and chattering. I love to watch them figure out the world every single day ... the way they hold a toy in their hands for minutes at a time, turning it over and over ... you can practically see the wheels turning in their heads! I love how proud Chase gets when he stands or "walks" ... he gets this big beam on his face he only gets when he thinks he's accomplishing something daredevil-ish ... he can stand on his own holding onto something and he loves it. He is just figuring out crawling, he does an army crawl-type thing but I am so proud!!!!!!!

And Connor is frantically trying to crawl but his cast is holding him back ... but he keeps trying anyways. And for the first time the other day he did something HE thought was hilarious, he would put his mouth on my nose, then pull back and give that great belly laugh, and repeat ... he just melted my heart. They both eat so good, they chow like little hounds!!! And when Chase wakes up from a nap, and gets to the edge of the crib and pulls down the bumper to peek out and see if I am coming, and I come in and he gets this huge smile ... I love my little guys so much!!!!

I have to stop or I could write all day long!!!

    Jenny, "DIE" is hilarious!!

    What a great post!!!
I could on for hours bragging about my girls. They are both such glorious creatures!!!
Nefeli is so in tune with those around her. She is a very happy baby and loves to laugh with us. She babbles and babbles like she's giving a lecture. She learns quickly. She gives the best sloppy kisses and hugs me tight. She is so peaceful when she's playing.
Iris is a fearless explorer, always moving and trying to figure out the world around her. She has non stop energy. She giggles when she figures out something new. She has sparkling eyes. She loves to be held.
They both are so hugable and when they are hugging each other or holding hands my heart just melts.
Aren't we all so lucky to have these being to look after and love?

Hehehe... you sound like me! Especially after their follow-up appointment last week at our NICU's high risk clinic. We were told we probably don't need to correct their age anymore because they are 25th percentile for height and weight uncorrected and meeting all their 4 month milestones. Now we say "They are gifted.. they've been tested!" (its a bit from a Kathy Griffin comedy routine).

Seriously it is just amazing to me how much they learn every day! Last week they were kind of grabbing things, now they are consistently grabbing toys and putting them right into their mouths. Ana is now scooting everywhere on her back! Its too funny to watch her lift her butt and proper herself back. She moves a couple of feet and then starts giggling! Too cute. She can get pretty far pretty quickly so I'm already looking at baby gates! Meara is my talker. We have whole conversations where she 'talks' with lots of inflection. After I pick her up from daycare she can go on talking for like 5 minutes straight! Its pretty funny and reminds me of that Volvo commercial that used to air a couple of months ago where the dad is strapping his 5 year old daughter into the backseat while she is excitedly telling him some story. If Meara is this much of a talker at 4 months, I can't imagine how its going to be when she can actually TALK!

Thanks for permission to brag! Now I'll go back to my regularly scheduled day. -Leighann

I am so in love with my kids. We have our ups and downs and some days seem so LONG when they're cranky, but generally I couldn't be happier. When they were newborns I had some pretty serious depression. I didn't think I could raise these kids - I thought it was too much for me. But now I'm so proud of myself for coping and helping the babies to thrive. This weekend we got a Jolly Jumper and an exersaucer - it's a whole new world at our house! The boys are discovering something new every day. I just love it. Also, they are sleeping up to 12 hours at night, which makes life so much more manageable. Of course there are wake ups once in a while, but I am so glad they're on track. I'm also really proud of my husband who has unlimited patience and has basically proven himself to be a super dad of twins.

This board has been great for me, by the way. I wouldn't be where I am without it.

I love reading about everyone's babies! Mine are by far the easiest babies I have had so far. They are almost always happy - Lila has a constant smile on her face, Luke doesn't smile as easy but giggles & laughs easier so that's ok. I love baby giggles! They love each other & I laugh every morning when they first see each other - the squeals of excitement are sooo cute!

Both are close to walking, stepping between furniture & to me, just a couple of steps at a time but it won't be long now. Both sleep through the night, hardly ever wake up anymore. They are both cuddly, sweet babies who are no doubt going to grow up spoiled rotten because between my husband, me, & the older kids, there is always someone to play with them, hold them, etc!

My boys started walking a few weeks ago and they are now walking more than crawling!! It's so fun to watch them figure out how to be bi-peds. they started climbing last week and it was fun to watch Wyatt crawl to the top of the stairs in a house we rented for a week, look down and cry cause he realized what he'd done.

they are now also pointing to objects and saying "dah" =-= lights, ceiling fans and cats are favorites. they mimic the names of things and are adding to their early vocabularies every day.

Cole and Wyatt are also doing container play (putting toys into, onto and taking them out of containers) big time and have started "give and take" games -- where they hand you something and take it back when offered. They are truly interactive now and a joy to be with -- it makes the days go so much faster.

i can't wait for next week!!! So much changes every week.

We took them for their one year appointment and they are doing fabulously! Liam is cruising furniture and laughing... he has a few words- hi, all done, Ava, yeah, i did it!

Ava loves to dance. She has a backyardigans guitar that she plays and she will dance to. she smiles all the time, and she is crawling. she loves to steal Liam's bink and then laughs when he takes it back.

They play amazingly well together, and they are always laughing. They are still nursing like champs, with no end in sight. I am totally completely in love.

This is fun! I love everyone's stories!
I love my boys so much...they were a total surprise to us and now I simply cannot imagine our lives without them.
Jonathan is my big boy - I swear he's going to a linebacker someday! He's quite the imitator, too - sounds, motions, chewing, everything! His preferred mode of travel is rolling. I think he'd roll right out the door if we let him!
James is my little sweetheart. Smaller in size, but huge in heart, James loves to cuddle and laughs at just about everything and gives everyone big smiles all the time. The game, "Where's James? ...There he is!!!" Gets big belly laughs every time.

Our Noah is walking and running around like Speedy Gonzalez. He also is very focused on trying to learn how a toy works. He also enjoys his flashcard sessions. Noah is sweet and as he walks around he will stop by to get a hug.

Our Jacob is still cruising but, he is so excited when Noah is walking. He laughs and laughs at Noah at his waddles along. Jacob is self feeding even though I still add Stage 3 food. He is also loving the flash card sessions. Jacob is my cuddler and is my emotional sweetheart.

It is hard to believe they are going to be a year old in a week.

The twins are now seven months old and get more adorable every day (if I do say so myself)! It has been a very busy month with the babies. We have hit some big milestones. First (and for DH and I the most exciting) Jillian AND Brendan are sleeping through the night AND they are in the Nursery, not in our room! Whoo Hoo! They go to bed between 7 and 7:30 and get up at about six. The great thing is that even though they wake up at six, they don't fuss until about 7 or so. They spend the early mornings just chatting with each other in the nursery. It is fantastic! Jilli and Brendan interact quite a bit now. Jillian is absolutely in love with Brendan but he isn't too sure about her yet. Right now, Jilli rules the roost. She may be tiny, but she is fearless when it comes to taking on Brendan. Jillian continues to be extremely intense and methodical in her play. She has learned to sit up though she still has to keep her hands on the floor for support. It is amazing to watch the wheels turn when she spies a toy (or Brendan) when she is sitting up and decides she must get to it (him). Each hand lifts a little to see which way she will teeter. If the first hand raised sends her tilting in the wrong direction, she will put it back down quickly before she falls to lift the other. Once she is on her belly, she will get what she wants one way or another. I wouldn't really say she is creeping on the floor yet, but she rocks herself in the direction that she needs to go. Jillian has also cut two of her bottom teeth. We thought that she couldn't get any cuter, but those little nubs in her big grin are the best! She is still quite small, but her appetite has improved. She loves bananas in her cereal, applesauce and sweet potatoes. I think she might have inherited my sweet tooth! Brendan is still our silly little guy! His smile and laugh light up the room! I started playing music daily for them (well, for my sanity too) about a two months ago. I couldn't stand the baby music so I started to play them my CD's. Brendan LOVES music. He bounces, and shakes his arms and legs (unfortunately, he seems to have my sense of rhythm). He has also taken to "singing" along. He loves "Brown Eyed Girl." - especially the "sha-la-la" parts! Brendan is showing no interest in sitting up and instead wants to stand. He bears all his weight (and believe me, that is a lot) and will hold on to my legs for balance. He can't do it for long, but he is working on it. I am still a second-class citizen to Brendan when DH is home. The two of them spend their evenings making each other giggle. He is his Daddy's boy through and through.

First of all my girls are the MOST adorable babies I have ever seen. Hope is very comical, and so very happy, and has been crawling for a week now. They were a 7 weeks early, but they are doing great developmentally. Haylee is my sweet little angel, she is happy as long as someone pays a little attention. She can look at me with all the love of the world in her beautiful eyes. And she can sit so very welll. I am so proud of them, and so proud to be a twin mom, especially because everyone knows how hard it can be, and you know what. WE DID (DOING) IT!!

YAY i want to brag... First my twins turned 3 months on Mon and i have to say it has not been hard at all to me. I dont get why everyone i see says bless you, your hands are full. Ummmm yeah they are but that is better than them being empty and they were empty for many years. :) Being a twin mom has not been what i thought it would be. I thought it would be the hardest thing that i ever did and really it has not been at all. Coming bak to work full time was hard but we are managing and everyone is adjusting. ;)
Beau is such a beautiful blue eyed blonde baldie that i adore... His smile is infectious and his stamina and growth is amazing to me. He was so tiny and has come so far. He is holding his head very well and loves to play and grunt and giggle with mommy and daddy. He is becoming such a little man and is very sweet and loving...
Savannah is a sassy, gorgeous, blue eyed brunette baldie. LOL... I adore her personality and she is smiling ALL the time. She warms your heart everyday with her constant babbles and converstation i think we may fight over the use of our telephone. ;) They glow when they see each other and that warms my heart...Being a mother has enriched my life and to be honest their is no words for the way these two little beings have blessed our home...

I have decided to brag also.

My girlies are doing so many new things every day. They both are crawling/scooting everywhere. Geneva CAN crawl she just chooses not to sometimes, and Gretchyn has just figured out how to scoot FORWARD instead of backwards. They are such fun. They love to watch their big brother and just laugh. They love to steal each others toys, food, hats, whatever it may be and then they both crack up about it.
Geneva just learned how to drink out of a straw TODAY. She also just learned how to go from crawling to sitting. Geneva is such a little flirt with anyone around her.
Gretchyn is more quiet and reserved. But once she warms up to you she just loves the heck out of you. She loves to sit and cuddle and hug.
They both have the sweetest smiles and laughs I have ever seen or heard.
I never realized how rewarding being a twin parent was until a couple weeks ago. All the trials we go through are so worth it when I see one of them smile at me. I am so thankful that I get to be in this special "club" of being a twin mommy.

oK, i'll play too! My kids are just so darn cute! I love that they sleep so well already. We are pretty consistently sleeping 8Pm-7am, starting at a little before 3 months! ... Jake is similiar to Leighann's Meara. He talks all the time. We literally have conversations where we ask him questions, and then as soon as we stop talking, he "answers". I just love it! He's huge, weighing in at 17.11lbs at 3.5 months, but he's tall. My husband is convinced we have a linebacker on our hands. Although as a mom, I prefer he plays something besides football. haha.

Hailey is all girl! She is petite and pretty and loves to have her picture taken. I can tell she is going to be my handful, but I think she is just super smart and needs to be entertained more so than her brother.

I agree with one PP that said people are always saying "gosh you must have your hands full, it must be so hard". But I liked her answer "Its better than when my hands were empty". It's hard everyday to have these kids, but I wouldn't trade them for ANYTHING in the world. Even more sleep.

oh where do I start!!!! these little girls are so incredible!! I am so in love!!

Miss Ava Grace is my little aggressive girl! she likes what she sees and she knows what she wants AND she knows how to get it! wether it is cutting those sweet, beautiful big blue eyes at us or bending like a pretzel to get a paci or toy from Addison!! She says dada and bubba (she has her dada and her brothers wrapped around her tiny finger!) she will pull herself up if I have her sitting in her crib - and she is the master at escaping the bumbo!! Ava is such a beautiful baby

Miss Addison Emily is more laid back than Ava except when it comes to nursing - she will not take a bottle for anything!! she is so adorable! you should hear her sweet laugh! she gets so tickled all you have to do is hold a stuffed animal up and act like it is walking toward her and :rotflmbo: !!! it is the cutest thing EVER!! she just started saying mama 2 days ago and oh it is so sweet! music to my ears!! weighing in at just over 12 pounds Addison is my tiny princess!!

both are sitting up, rolling over, and the lights of all of our lives!
