Oh how I hate time change, just when I get them in a good schedule this comes up! UGH!!!

Anyway we have over a week and was wondering what tips you guys have to prepare the twins for it. Even though we are losing an hour, I think this will be easier to deal with than gaining an hour, at least for the wake up times.

I always just went ahead with our normal schedule, did everything at the normal time, and I never really had a problem. I didn't try to adjust for the hour lost or gained & within a couple of days everything was fine.

I too just try to keep doing things at the normal time, it might throw them off for a couple days (wanting to go to bed at the wrong time...etc) but they adjust very quickly! :)

Well, I'll actually be glad to have this time change...lol It means my early riser will go down at 7.30 instead of 6.30 and will wake up at 5.30 instead of the dreadful 4.30...lol

I don't think I could do much about changing their sleeping habits, but maybe if you want to adjust 5-10 minutes a day?

:headbang: I. HATE. THE. TIME. CHANGE. :headbang: I've never done anything to prepare but it takes us a good 2 weeks to finally adjust. I hope this one goes better for all of us.

I'm looking forward to the time change. I am going to change their bedtime to 7:30 instead of 6:30 since it will be darker later. I'm hoping they sleep in to 7:30 instead of 6:30. It's the end of DST that I don't like.

You can always split the difference... change their bedtime by half an hour... my kids usually adjust to it fine, but summer time bedtime does tend to get pushed back later... we don't wait until dark necessarily, but we do have a lot more days where they go to bed later than usual.

I never did anything to prepare for it either. I just went about the day as if it was any other. I can't remember though if it's when we turn them ahead that they woke at some horrific hour ready to start the day. Is it lighter at 6am? Good lord I hope not!

I do remember when we turned them back, there was no change in anything. No schedules had to be readjusted. And in the summer-their bedtime always ends up being pushed back at least an hour!

Same here. I never knew that one hour could make so much difference. But for us it did.

I usually dislike time changes when they come, but this year I'm actually looking forward to it. Fingers crossed for getting these kids to sleep longer in the morning. I gotta have my coffee, errrrr, lots of it.
