Is it normal when one of the babies changes position to feel a tightening sensation. No pain or anything just like 15-30 seconds of tightening. And you can feel the babies moving and everything just seems that one or the other is changing position.

I hope so. I've been wondering the same thing. I'm only pg with one this time and it's happening to me this time, as well. It is soo weird! I think it's okay. Hopefully someone will let us know! :)

It could be stretching or it could be BH. As long as it is not happening too often and there is no pain, you should be fine. If you are really concerned, talk to your doc.

Sounds like Braxton Hicks to me. I had the throughout both of my pregnancies.

well its the first time this has happened to me. And there isn't any pain which i guess is good lol just had a lot of tightening and pressure and it would get really uncomfortable. I never had this with my singleton pregnancy. My next appointment isn't for two weeks but i will talk to them at that time and let them know and see what they say. We do have an extensive sono on monday where they will check the length of my cervix and so if its still as long as it was a month ago im sure i will be able to relax a little more. I just don't like waking up at 4 in the morning to pee and then start feeling a tightening sensation that i have never really felt before. At first i thought it was the babies stretching out but it happened way to much in my opinion. Thanks ladies for the repsonses!!

Yes...I'm in the hospital now and have been for two weeks. I was really stressed about that tightening...now I can look at the monitor and see that it's not a contraction...I tend to get it late in the afternoon and into early evening. It's really uncomfortable, but not painful. The few real contractions I've had have bordered on painful...more like a stab of pain that lasts 30 or whatever seconds...the tightening is universal...over the whole belly...and now at 28+3 I can even kinda tell that a butt or head is poking up...

I had this all the time with my girls so for me it was normal. They were pretty active so it happened a lot. I'd say as long as it's not painful it's fine.

I have felt this as well. Generally when it happens, the rest of my uterus feels soft (other than where the baby is sticking out) so I wouldn't think BH, but who knows. For me, it is also sometimes accompanied by a tingly feeling.

What I'm talking about isn't BH. I'm well aware of what those are and they are different. This is literally when the baby moves.. weird! I totally know what you m ean!!

This little guy has done that to me a lot lately. It is a weird feeling! I feel like he is pushing off of my liver and poking his butt out!! I always rub his I think butt or maybe it is his head?? When he does it!! When I have a BH, it kind of takes my breath away and my whole abdomen gets hard. I would not say it hurts but it is uncomfortable.

yeah i think i have pretty much made the distinction between them stretching out and a BH the BH feels very uncomfortable no painfull though and i have to concentrate on breathing not only that but the uncomfortability goes into my back too. Im not too concerned anymore it only happens about 1-2 times a day but the other night it was happening pretty frequently. The babies stretching happens WAY more though =) little terds
