Tight chest?

Hi all,

Kind of a weird question.... wondering what people think.
The last two days I have had what feels like a "tight chest". Not pain, nor wheezing or anything, but more like when you feel like you need to cough, but cough and nothing comes up.... I am not coughing a lot, just feels like I NEED to. It doesn't hurt to breathe, and I can take deep breaths, just have this weird tight sensation.

Any ideas? Or is it just cramped abdominal paranoia?

It could very well just be that your babies are just growing therefore leaving less room for you to breath. I don't think I would be overly concerned about it, but if you are you may want to give a call to your Dr and see what he/she has to say about it. Good Luck!! :hug:

 

Good point! Thanks! I was just thinking it may be their positions, as they have been breech for weeks, but I know one is now transverse, I believe the one that is higher up, cause I feel lots of kicks in the side now! So, that new position may also be what is making things feel different.

 

My baby B was transverse for the entire pregnancy and I remember feeling the way you're describing. If you have any concerns, though definitely call your ob!! That's what they're there for!

 

I've been noticing this the past couple of nights too when I lay down at night. I think everything spreads out and it gets hard to breathe for a while. I'm claustrophobic, so it's hard for me to relax until it finally passes.
