i remember back in those first couple of months i would watch my ticker count up & it just couldn't go fast enough - i couldn't wait to hit those magical it-gets-easier milestones. now that we're in our last month of the first year though, i wish i could just stop the damn thing! every day it goes up i think "there goes another baby day - pretty soon they won't be babies anymore". ugh. i always used to roll my eyes at mothers who did this, and now here i am. and i absolutely can't help myself.

I'm in the SAME boat mama. The first six months seemed to go by soooo slow [especially the first TWO]. Now it seems these little ladies learn something new Everyday and it's hard to keep up with them. We'll be alright, we just have to stick together

I'm starting to feel the same way. We rush through the milestones, never coming quickly enough for us (*when* are they going to crawl?!), and suddenly they're on the cusp of not being babies any more!

I don't really miss the early days (especially getting up 6 times a night!), but I was almost sad when I couldn't say I had newborns any more. That time is so special, and so brief.

Of course, I am looking forward to the day they can come into our room on Saturday morning and ask if they can go downstairs and watch cartoons!! :D

I know what you mean, I look at my ticker now and go "Halfway to 2, no way!!!" Time does fly and it goes way too fast!

I'm not that far along, but last night after I nursed T (they almost always STTN now, so I'm not up too often in the night) and I was rocking her, I just kept rocking her even though she was ready to go down thinking "soon, they won't want Mommy to rock them, and they'll be big!" It was so quiet and peaceful in the house.

I thought it would get easier once they were one (you know the wanting to freeze time) but I think that's the way I'm going to feel for the rest of my life! Why can't there be a pause button on life??

I was the exact same way, Rachel. I was so sad about the end of my girl's first year! But so far the 2nd year has been just as good for us as the first. And just think, you have a new, even cooler forum to go too once they turn two. :p (Okay maybe I'm biased but hey! You gotta think positive!)

Oh gosh I hear you! My babies just turned 3, and I had a hard time putting up the ticker with a 4 on it! :shok:
