Yes, I'm a bit concerned.. My kiddos go to bed at 6pm SHARP by their own Choice... So.. I'm kinda wondering if now we should just keep it at 7p instead?? Then they'd be maybe getting up at 7:30 am instead of 6:30 am?? I don't know! How does this work??

I was really worried about how the last time change would affect the boys, but it really didn't bother them one bit. I was totally surprised. I stuck to their schedule and they didn't skip a beat. The spring forward may actually work in our favor because they have been waking up at 6-6:30 anyway. I'm the one it's going to kill!! :D

I am hoping that i can just move their entire schedule forward 1 hour so that it stays that way. The plan is to move everything so that they don't notice a difference. I want to get them waking up at 7 or 7:30 instead of 6 or 6:30 and go to sleep at 7:30 (maybe 8???) instead of 7:00 that way my DH will actually get tho see them for a little bit before they go to bed. I figure, if it doesn't work, its not really an issue, we'll just return to our old schedule. Crossing my fingers...

it worked great for us during FALL BACK because i just put them down earlier & that was their new bedtime (6:00- 6am)...
i like the idea of changing their bed/wake times to later but i have to leave for work by 7 am. i ebf so they have to be up by 6:30 to eat.

maybe we will just gradually shift their times over a few nights?

:0 Oh NO! I got so screwed the last time this happened! It took us weeks to recover! I do hope this means they will sleep till 7. DH has to get up at 5 for work and I usually can only fall back asleep for 30 mins before they wake up. Maybe it will work out for the best.

My girls didn't have any trouble with it last time so maybe there will not be any trouble this time. BTW... when do it change?

I hated last time bc my kids were up at 6 instead of 7. But now they are getting up too early at 6:15 6:30 so I am hoping they will get up at 7 or 7:30 and life will be great. I am not telling my kids that it is day light savings. :yahoo:

Last time we just went by clock time and everything worked itself out in a day or so. So thats the plan this time too, but with all the excitement we have going on this weekend who knows what will happen. Glad my 6 house guests are all used to babies crying!

I have not read pps but I am completely convinced that the time change thing was invented to torture parents. Mine were only 4 or so months old during the first time change and it had them waking at 6am and then eventually getting back to the norm of a 7am awake time but it took about a month to get it back. Now, I am confused with the spring forward. They go to bed at 7:30 and wake at 7am with their first nap beginning at 9:30 --- does this mean their first nap will not start until 10:30????? What to do what to do...

Ugh! I've yet to experience the spring forward time change with the boys... I'm not looking forward to it! My bedroom doesn't have any blinds or curtains- they're going to be awake with the sun, I'm sure!

I am on the fence if this will work for us or not. My kids want to go to bed at 6:30 but now they may actually go to bed at 7:30 instead of 8:30. The onlyr reason I don't put them to bed at 6:30 is because they view it has a nap and no matter how many things or nights I tried to get them to go back to sleep they fought it so now we just let them cat nap (15 minutes) then stay up until 8 or 8:30.

This morning, as I heard giggles & coos from the nursery at 5:15am, I thought to myself....

Next week at this time, it'll be 6:15am when they're up making all this racket!

    LOL

I'm THRILLED about DST! Since it's been getting brighter 6am, little Joel thinks it's time to be awake! So I'm pumped! I'm not going to change a thing!

(now watch this be a terrible plan and I'll be in tears come next week! :rotflmbo: )

Ditto this! I was so worried but it didn't even phase them!

We're looking forward to the time change (now that Ben goes to bed at a reasonable hour). This morning Daniel was up at 5 am and Ben at 6 so we'll be glad if it moves to 6 am and 7.
