IM back! My internet has been down for three weeks and I am usually on tiwn stuff like 100 times a day!I feeeeeeeel SO out of the loop!!! Yay, I am finally starting to catch up on everyones post!! ahh

Any how, took Lillianah to the doctor today bc I saw white stuff on her inside of her cheek Its thrush, doc gave me medicine, Did not really tell me how she got it or anything, so i researched it and found this

If an infant with thrush is breastfeeding, talk to your doctor about ways to prevent future infections, such as an antifungal medication. Sterilize or discard any pacifiers. For bottle-fed babies with thrush, discard the nipples and buy new ones as the baby's mouth begins to clear.

Is this true should I get rid of all her binks, bottles and nipples? Her twin sister and her share bottles, not binkys though. Her sister does not have it, not that I have seeen. When I say they sahre bottles, not like when they are drinking the milk, bUt after I wash them, I dont haev set ones for L and set ones for Z. should i? do your LO's shaare bottles? how could she have got thrush if i dont put her on me anymore?

my girls are BF but i exclusively pump!TIA!

SOOOOOOO GLAD TO BE BACK IN ACTION!

I didn't get rid of everything. I was too cheap! But I did boil everything at the end if the day-nipples, pacifiers, etc. And we did seperate everything by color for them. We were using Gerber bottles, so they had blue and green tops. Nicholas was green and Anthony was blue-pacifiers too(and still to this day! Lol!).

Make sure you boil/steam clean the pumping parts after every use. I'm guessing that's where it's happening. You can still have thrush on your breasts, pass it onto the pumps, then onto the twins. Thrush is a ----- to get rid of!!! Make sure you are washing your bras daily, etc. I had it at least twice with the boys and once with Annabella. And I vividly remember it on my breasts with Annabella. Ouch!

Everything pp said, me too! Sterilze and you should be good. Just remember thrush doesn't have anything to do with whether or not you put baby to breast, it's just yeast that thrives on warm, moist places like babies mouth..

I agree with the other ladies. My third child had it and I was too cheap to throw everything away too. Especially since she was only 3wks old. I barely used the bottles and pacis. Just sterilize after each use. I would constantly wash the pacis and sterlize them once a day. Make sure to sterlize your pump parts as well. I would label/separate bottles and pacis for each child since the other baby doesn't have it.

Don't forget-same thing with the toys! I know you said your other twin doesn't have it-you have to be extra careful that it doesn't happen(I found it virtually impossible to do this. The other one almost always got it!). So clean down the toys whenever you can-at least what goes in their mouth.

    Good luck!
