Is throwing up normal at the end of PG? I was up a lot with contractions last night (nothing regular) and back pain. I know Im not in labor, but I am miserable...and of course, DH cant come home early.

Mandy, you just can't catch a break can you? I am sorry you don't feel well....and yes it can be considered "normal" I would watch it closely though....you don't want to end up dehydrated....keep drinking fluids....water, gatorade, gingerale....whatever you can keep down.

    I hope Ryan comes soon!

it can accompany labor...or it can put you into labor. When I was pg with the twins I got the stomach bug at 35 weeks. It gave me some serious, steady ctx for about 10 hours...about 5 minutes apart. I had to be hospitalized for dehydration...and finally several hours later the ctx petered out. But I'm sure if I had done nothing about it, I would have had the babies that day. So puking at this stage in the game isn't necessarily a bad thing... it's actually kind of the theory behind why castor oil works...except in the other direction. Anything that gets your bowels or intestines agitated has the potential to irritate your uterus and possibly push you over the edge into real labor..maybe this will happen for you after all....I sure hope so b/c you are going to be ticked if you are puking your guts out for nothing!! LOL!

I have to second Susanna's post. I too had the stomach flu while prego with the twins, only mine was at 20 weeks. It landed me in L and D with contractions for about 10 hours. I was totally dehydrated.

I am sorry you are not feeling well! It just has to be no fun to be 39 weeks prego and puking!

Yep, I had the stomach flu too at 36/37 weeks and I ended up in L&D for dehydration (although I practically begged them to take the baby then, lol). The dehydration will start contractions.
