I tried posting this earlier but it was blank.............I swear I typed something and I am not losing it ;)

I don't know if it is because I am pregnant and tired or what but ever since Emma and Alex turned three it is just crazy here! I feel like I am running an asylum.

Tonight, they wanted to help me de-stem the cherry tomatoes that we picked from the garden. They've done this plenty of times, know the routine and like helping. They actually beg me to help! So, I set them up with a bucket of about 100 tomatoes and then started dinner. I ran for a potty break and heard roaring laughter coming from the dining room. NEVER A GOOD SIGN.....................almost as bad as sudden silence. So, I look in the dining room and there are tomatoes everywhere!!! Floor, table, chairs but the best part is that they decided to use them to squirt seeds at eachother. So, they are covered in seeds and so is the carpet. Do you laugh or cry or both?

    31 more days till preschool!

Everyone talks about the terrible 2's, but my oldest changed the day after her 3rd birthday. Thank goodness we are past that - at least for now!

I think I'd vote for the laughing until you cried because that just sounds like more fun! :winking0009:

It is so funny you said this. I just made the comment tonight that I was raising a group of "insane monkeys" and not children. They were crazy tonight!! The were climbing on everything, jumping around, wouldn't stay in bed.....boy, am I glad they're all sleeping right now! I really think the mid-2 year old to end of 3 year old is the hardest time. My girls are just crazy right now and really keep me hopping. They have a blast, but it sure wears poor ole mom out!! :D

That is soooo something my 3 year olds would do! Go ahead & laugh - crying won't help! I left my girls in the powder room washing their hands & playing in the sink with boats while I folded clothes - I could see them from the bedroom. It got quiet a few minutes later & I looked up - they had unwound the entire roll of toilet paper & put it in the sink water! You can't take your eyes off them for a minute!

I agree, I'm actually finding this age has more challenges than two years old did (mine turned three a couple of weeks ago). We are STILL trying for another baby (how can something that happened by accident last time take so long????) but every month when I find out I'm not pregnant, I have this moment of ...well, relief, I guess, in the midst of the disappointment. Because I'm not sure how I'd cope! My girls have begun whining a lot, and fighting constantly (they never did, so much, before) and I have days where I contemplate hari kiri...please tell me it gets easier as they get closer to four!

Well it is nice to hear we are all in the same boat!! Sounds like the terrible twos are now the TERRIBLE THREES.
I just pray that it is a passing phase just like everything else has been. At least they are behaved in public!
