hi, my sister in law gave me this suggestion for twin girls which i thought was great and will use...

I don't like rymy or alike names, and am trying to steer clear of names that start with the same letter, to give the twins their own identity.

My SiL suggested giving them the same middle name eg: grace, so they will always share something,, even after they are married and their surname changes. I thought it was a cool idea, thought i'd share!

    I love the idea.

We wanted to do something like that, and wanted to give them both Joy as a middle name but for Gabby it would have been the Mixtec word for Joy. Turns out that was completely unpronouncible for the typical Spansih and English speaker (our two principal languages) so we choose another easier to pronounce Mixtec middle name for her.

I also think it's a very nice idea. Some here have done it.

I have a friend with five children (all singletons) and each child has the middle name Lee (Kenneth Lee, Katy Lee, Brian Lee, Brittany Lee and Samuel Lee). Lee is their father's first name. I think it's neat that it works so well for a boy or a girl. It's a special family legacy.

Ya, that is what S and S's parents did. Both of them have the middle name of Rae.

I personally don't like it but then I have rhymey names. I do like where both names mean the same thing

I have a 3 y/o DD, Ella Grace and 2 y/o ID girls Lily Grace and Alana Grace. We thought that it would be nice to have a connection between all three girls, plus we loved the name Grace too. So I agree with your great idea!!!!!
