My ds is 3 months now and the twins are a few months shy of 2 years. Our house has been crazy! Surprisingly running errands has gone pretty smoothly. Just this morning I took all 3 to Target without a hitch and last week we made a short trip to the grocery store. It's IN the house that I have the most trouble. The twins are always whining like they are bored (even though they have 100 toys). I set them up with activities so I can nurse like coloring and playdoh, but that lasts 5 minutes before they want to move to the next thing. They crave alot of attention that is so hard to give when I am trying to care for ds too. Then I feel guilty putting ds is the swing or bouncy chair yet again. So I put him in the babywrap, which he likes, but my shoulders are achy by the end of the day.

I am pretty sure there are a few others with twins and an infant too or an older child and younger twins, so how are you all holding up??

I'm interested to hear this, because that's going to be me in a few months!

You were me a year ago and it's just the age of the 2 yr olds and what they do. It has gotten easier as everyone gets older but I wouldn't say that it's easy. My boys watched almost no TV before DD was born and now they watch several hours a day. I need it to allow me to do things with her so that they will not get into too much trouble, which was still not a guarantee.
I also found going out not to be too much of a problem but that just the dad to day was tiring.
My advice is to wait it out and try to enjoy as much as you can. I certainly understand how tired you are and not being able to get rest during the day with the twins keeping you busy.
I also felt guilty about putting DD in a swing/bouncy chair, something when the boys wanted attention and I think that's normal. At least I had to believe that it was or else I would have gone crazy. Now that DD is moving around she makes sure she doesn't get left out too and wants to do the things her big brothers are doing.
Although my DD is one now and sometimes it feels as though it's gone quickly, most days I am exhausted and I long for the days when she is 2.5 and the boys are 4.5 and I am hopeful that it will be more fun. Please feel free to PM me if you need any support, I'm more than happy to listen.

Sounds pretty much like life in my house ;) Elizabeth is two months and mine are going on 3. I put them in a summer camp the last two weeks (4 days a week, 3 hours in the morning) just to give them something to do b/c it's hard to keep them entertained! Then I can run errands with just 1! I feel for you :hug99:
