How long are the naps? I am working on that now and I think they will respond. Thanks :)

We did something very similar but I don't think they actually could go the entire "4". Their naps were 45mins-1.5hrs.

Yeah, I don't think they'll make 4 hrs either but I figured I could improvise a little. I'm just trying to get an idea of the entire day in my head so I can figure out bedtime. Thanks!

Before 6 months mine would have never made the whole 4 at the end. Their naps were still pretty much all over the place. 6 months, they dropped to two naps and when they did, their morning nap was 1.5-2 hours and afternoon nap was 2 hours. They would wake up around 4 and go to bed around 7:30.

I think at that age my boys were still on whatever nap schedule they chose, if that makes sense. I didn't really try the 2,3,4 schedule until they were more around the 6 month mark. Then their naps were probably around the 1.5 mark each with a catnap for their 3rd nap ... my boys dropped that 3rd nap around 7 months. Now their naps are about 2 hours each. I try really hard to catch them before they are too tired because then they are harder to put down and don't sleep as long. Hope this helps! Good luck!

we didn't start on the 2-3-4 schedule until 7 months or so, maybe a little later. until then we always had to go back down 1.5-2 hours after waking. now they usually nap for 1 hour in the am and 1.5 in the afternoon with a 6:30 bedtime. it has be so great to be down to 2 naps!

Thanks to all of you. I've been trying to pay close attention to their naps and I really think they're pretty much at 2, or at least can handle 2 on many days so I'm just trying to foster it, kwim? I will definitely agree that it may be premature but it's worth a shot, right? :)In this desperation ANYTHING is worth a shot!
