Those of you with just the twins...will you have a 3rd baby?

I keep getting the baby itch and then I tell myself how awful it was in the beginning and I don't know if I could do it again! If you are planning to have another, when?

We would like to get pregnant sometime after the twins are 18 months old but before they turn two, so for us that would be between August 2007 and February 2008. We're going in to talk to our RE in February.

 

I'm with you Kelly! Keep feeling I'm not done having babies. Only thing making me reluctant is that I had an incompetent cervix and was on bedrest 17 weeks - am afraid it would happen again and that would be terrible for the girls. I would rather have another baby as soon as possible so it is close to the girls. I think that would make it feel less left out. The bigger the difference in age the more apart a singleton would feel. Also, I think it would be easier since they would all enjoy similar activities etc.
We'll see how things go.

I'm still undecided. I love the thought of having another one but I'm scared and we are already a bit tighter with money then we used to be. The thought of having a newborn and TWO toddlers terrifies me. But, if I wait to long I feel like I'll be too old. Plus, I don't even know if I can get pg on my own and I don't think I want to go through ivf again (actually, can't afford to since I'm not working now). It's all up in the air. Can't say yes can't say no right now. But, I would LOVE to know what it's like to be pg with just one baby and to have just ONE newborn. I would imagine it would seem like cake compared to taking care of two newborns.

 

My husband and I would love to have another (or twins again...crazy arent we...) but finances currently arent where we need to be and we're affraid that our next child could get the cancer the boys have as well. I dont want to go through or put another child through what these guys are going though. We have however considered adoption.

 

Kelly, that's funny because I got that at 6 mos. I thought "hmm....I could do this again".....fast fwd to 21 mos. and watching a 4.5 mos. old as well.... NO! Thanks! All done here!!

I think if I weren't already 38 I would want more, but I am just not cut out for it! I think there are people who handle it great, but I am not sure that I am one. I would give yourself some time to sort it out. You are seeing a lot of fun things right now and forgetting those early days.....

I am 38 and dh is 49, 50 in February. I think God blessed us with b/g twins so I wouldn't have to do this again. Although, according to my OB I had a really good pregnancy (????for who????). He tried to talk me out of the procedure all the way to the OR for my tubal. I only wanted 2 children, I got it in one shot.

 

We haven't decided, but are leaning towards wanting more. We still have five frozen embryos. I had a great pregnancy and miss being pregnant. But I was able to really take it easy and I think that helped. Won't be able to do that with twins already. I think about the first three months and think no way in H--- could I do that again. But then I see the boys smiling at me and can't imagine not doing it again.

 

I also have the baby itch, but I want to get these tw out of diapers before we start trying again. I really would love to have another set, and pray I get blessed a second time. I know I'm crazy!

 

we keep saying no, but last month I mentioned something about waiting until the twins were in school (yes 5 years) and "thinking" about it...I doubt it will happen unless he gets a REALLY good job, but it keeps him from thinking about the big snip - I just don't know if I'm ready for that...

Probably not... we had to do IF tx to get these two and to be honest I don't really want to risk twins or trips again. If we should get pregnant in the future on our own (yeah right!) I wouldn't want it to be for a few years.

 

We are planning to try for one more within the next year....yes, it will be busy with two toddlers and a newborn however my hubby and I want them close in age.

Yes, we want "just one more." I want the opportunity to do this again. I want the tiny newborn again. I'd love to have a chance to try it with one baby this time instead of two! And, I'd love to give my girls a 3rd sibling.

 

We got a 50/50 chance.......so we'd like to try for a boy. Probably when the girls are around/about 2 years old would be ideal.

 

Absolutely yes! We always said we wanted just 2 kids, a boy and a girl and we would be done, but once we had the twins...we just knew we wanted more. I think if money was no object we would probably have 4 or 5....ha!! However, seeing as we need to feed and educate them, we will probably have just one more...and probably will start trying when the twins are 2 or 3. My DH and I have just loved becoming parents soooooo much. It has been SO hard, but at the same time SO wonderful. We both cried when we were putting up the Christmas tree. It was just so wonderful having these angels and each other and this family we wanted so much. It is hard to imagine now not having more. They are such a joy. Also my DH is a HUGE help and really into the whole process. If he wasn't I don't know if I would want more...KWIM??

 

I was always pretty sure I would have another one but I didn't know when. I got the baby itch really bad at about 4 months and 10 months old. Other than that, I often told people we'd probably wait until the girls went to school before having another one. Finally, one day we decided we were ready and we'll be having this 3rd baby when the girls are 3 3/4 years old. Ainsley & Sierra are getting more self-sufficient every day and like to help out so we're very optimistic about adding another child to the family.

 

I would love, love, love just one more baby. Just one though as i couldnt survive with another set of twins!!! I have had the itch since they have been born but my partner is adament that he doesnt want another because of the cost and how hard he hs found these two. I am still working on him! I feel like i want to have another pregancy as i only found out i ws pregnant at 12 weeks and had them at 32 weeks so i want to find out what going full term is like lol. x

 

I think we're done. Sometimes I'm okay with that and sometimes not. We spent several years trying to have children and we have been blessed with two healthy babies. I need to shoosh up and not get greedy!

 

I'm undecided. I'm leaning more toward wanting another baby and DH is completely against anymore. He is 7 years older then me so he figures hes too old for anymore, 2 is enough. Whereas me, I'm young still (22)...so who knows. The thought of it is nice
