    Hi!

So our baby boy is due in December, and the twins will be 2 on December 18th. I'm wondering what to do about a stroller. We still use the DuoGlider when we need it, but with a third coming ... should I bother getting a 3-seater stroller? Or use a double and strap the baby on me in a carrier? I can't see myself letting the kids walk around by themselves, they'd take off on me. Augh, what do you ladies do?
    Thanks!

I had the reverse a 2 year old and the twins. I tried the 3 stroller and HATED it. It was too bulky and difficult to turn especially with all the weight. I wound up always carrying one in the bjorn or the moby wrap and pushing the other and my toddler.

With the twins, I never really used a stroller. I do love my single stroller for Evan though. (sorry, no help here!)

It really depends on how often you might put it to use. I had a triple and we used it about 3 times a week for walks. It was also great if I had to go out w/all 3 and no other help. For the mall I often used a sling for Chloe and pushee the other in the double.

I'm curious what others did too. I'll have 20 month old twins and an infant. I was just going to use a bjorn/sling and keep twinkies in our duoglider.

I would suggest looking for something used. I have a Peg Perego Triplette that I used for a bit last spring, but once I was able to get a triple jogger, that's all I used. I never brought either of my triples to the mall, the store, whatever. At first I would bring someone (my mom) with me on a lot of outings and have a single and a double. After a while, I would let Meghan (least likely to run off) walk with me while the boys were in the duoglider. I did buy a carrier for Liam, but didn't use it much, he was big and bulky on the front of me :). The stroller I really wanted was the Joovy Caboose.

M& T were 26 months when A was born. We used the double stroller and a sling for 5-6 months. Then we switched to a single stroller for A and taught M&T they had to hold on to it when we were out and about. They were old enough then to listen and learn well at that point.

I had a two year old and twin infants- I put the two year old and one of the infants in the stroller and carried the other in a carrier. I also got a triple jogger when the twins were six months old so I could go off road in the neighborhood. :)

I was opposite you, I had a just turned one year old and newborn twins. I had a tandem triple until the twins were ten months (hated it!) and then invested in the Valco with toddler seat. So worth it! I took that thing everywhere! Around the neighborhood, to the mall, to the grocery store, you name it! I wasn't able to pick up or care for the other two if I had one in a carrier so that didn't work for me.

I am another Valco Twin Trimode with toddler seat lover. I would definitely invest in a triple stroller either used or new. Strollers make it so much easier to get everyone around safely and you dont have to rely on who can hold hands, who needs to stand, etc...

FWIW we are the reverse as well I had a 2 YO when the boys were born and I really regret not getting a triple stroller sooner.

I used a baby carrier when we had our youngest we had twins then 1 in a year so I carried him everywhere in that thing for about 6 months before I just put everyone in the pegperago aria. I am pregnant again and I am looking at a company that caters for 4 they have 3 as well called adventure buggy company they are worth a look. Good luck in your search!

I was the opposite as well - my DD was 16 months old when the twins were born. I got the Valco Twin with the toddler seat attachment. I used this everywhere!!! My DD will be 4 in a couple weeks and I still use it occasionally when I need the security of keeping them confined, or if it's a long outing. Personally, I think I would invest in this stroller. One of your twins could sit in the toddler seat, and the other twin and the baby could sit in the stroller. The seats recline individually, so they accomodate newborns. I guess if you don't go out very often the carrier or sling could also work, but we were always out and about and my DH was away for the first several months after the twins were born, so I needed a way to get all three safely out and about on my own. I love this stroller!

I have 2 one year olds and a newborn so I too have the valco and toddler seat. It's plenty worth it for us because we will be using it a long time. My newborn just lays in the stroller with the seat reclined and the older ones take turns in the toddler seat. I have a duoglider and slings and it would be much more work to put them in that and the baby in a baby bjorn. You get used to the valco so fast I get them in and out like it is nothing and we go everywhere. It was much more of an ordeal with the duoglider and two babies than it is with the valco and three.

We also were the opposite, and just used a double stroller and carried a baby (which also cut down on a lot of the "oh they're twins!" attention because people didn't realize it until we had already gone by). Now that the babies are bigger we just use a wagon with seats-the babies in each of the seats, and the 2yo squashes in the middle. That way she can choose whether or not she wants to walk.

At first I put Mason in a sling and just used the duoglider but it soon became evident we needed something else once Mason didn't like the sling anymore.

I bought a used PP triple and sold it within a few months because I hated it. I always felt like I was going to snap the frame when I took the boys for walks and if it started to veer off in it's own direction going down a bit of a hill it was on it's own!

Then I got the Valco twin trimode & toddler seat. I cannot say enough good things about this stroller. It is AMAZING. So easy to steer and since I like to put Mason to bed and then take C&C out for our own time (walks or to the mall...) when DH is home, we just leave the toddler seat off and have the double! It's a bit pricey but DH made a deal with me that I have to raise the money myself, so I sold some baby stuff we were done with and bought it! I bought it from Laura at www.countrymoosekids.com. I highly recommend her - me and another Twinstuff mommy bought our Valcos at the same time and she gave us a great deal!

If you are someone who uses a stroller a lot, I would definitely invest in a triple stroller. Since your twins will still definitely be young enough to use a stroller for a while.

I have a single stroller to match our double as I'm rarely out with the kids without DH. However, I also plan to use a carrier for baby and use the double stroller for the boys if I am alone. As the boys are getting better able to follow commands, I plan on teaching them how to hold on to baby's stroller while we're out so that will likely be a lesson soon taught. I just couldn't see the investment of a triple stroller because we don't use one that often as it is...for us.
