    36 weeks!!! My mom is coming for her official 'giving birth trip' at the end of this week. Hard to believe I actually made it this far-it's always seemed like the distant future.

    Had another appointment today (35+1 weeks)and I'm 1cm dilated and 75% effaced. Soooo....does that mean anything? My OB did mention that he doesn't think I'll make it to 38 weeks. I would rather go into labor on my own than to be induced so it'd be nice if this meant these babies will be here in a week or two! I do remember while pregnant with dd I was dilated 1cm for a while, don't know about effacement. That's what I don't understand a lot about. Is the % of effacement....

    Nerdgirl: Sure, Why not? :rotflmbo:

    La Chava: I only have my own experience with my son, but I was 0 cm dilated but 80% effaced 3 days before I went into labour with him... (sample of one, though). I hope you do go on your own. ETA: I think effacement is how soft your cervix is? don't quote me on that though...

    I'll be 30 weeks on Saturday! :)

    Hitting 38 weeks at the end of this week. No talk of induction yet but hopefully at Fridays appointment we'll get a date.

    Made it to 35 weeks yesterday! Will find out Friday when she will take them via c-section...she already warned us it will be the 27, 28, or 29th of this month :)

    34 weeks tomorrow, both babies are 5lbs. (5.5 and 5.2) and doing well. Of all the competitive sports I have played, this is the most sore I have ever been in my back and pelvic area. Hoping to make it to 36!
