This Week's Milestones 12/13-19

Hello everyone. By the end of this week I will be 34 weeks pregnant with Twin girls. I am getting a little nervous now and although this is my 4th pregnancy it never seems to amaze me how anxious I get before the big day. Last week I had an appointment on Tuesday and ended up going in a day early due to severe headaches that I have been having. They immediately put me in the hospital for high blood pressure and did a 24 hour urine test and blood test. While in the hospital, my blood test came back good, my babies were doing great and my blood pressure stayed down....as long as I was laying down. The minute I got up to walk around it would rise. My 24 hour urine test came back at 285 which according to the doctor was boarderline. They become concerned if it is 300 or above. Needless to say, they gave me the steriod shot and released me Wednesday night. SO, here I have been at home with my three young children, ages 6, 4 and 2 and my husband has taken over full duties. I am really trying to make it to at least 36 plus weeks. I haven't really had many contractions since I left the hospital and I am drinking lots and lots of water. I have a follow-up appointment with my doctor tomorrow to check my blood pressure ad the babies. I am a little nervous as I have been on the verge of a headache all day today. I keep willing it away. Please keep me and my babies in your thoughts and wish me luck on making it past New Years. I couldn't imagine going any earlier and missing Christmas with my kids at home, or having to leave my babies in the NICU during Christmas.

 

Goose, I hope you are feeling better now...high BP is certainly nothing to mess with. The good news is you got the steriod shots, and that can make A WORLD of difference with early babies! GL and hope you make it until Dec 26th at least!!!!

I'll be 21 weeks this week....and feel so completely blessed since we almost lost my twins due to severe bleeding and a subchorionic hematoma at 8.5 weeks. I'm counting down these next few weeks to viability....getting so close now. I've finally let myself get a few things for the twins and actually consider the fact they might actually come home with me. Yay!

 

Contractions & bleeding have been stopped for 48 hours, so I get to go home from the hospital today!! I'm 29 weeks, so we want to keep these babies baking a little longer!

 

We had an u/s yesteday, and DH and I found out that we are expecting two boys!!

We were both very surprised, as that was the last combination we were expecting, lol. We thought two girls, or one each.. but not two boys!

So exciting (and slightly daunting!)

 

I have made it to 10 wks!! Double digits!! I am so excited because besides my daughter, all my other angels did not make it past 8 weeks! I just pray that these babies are sticking around for good!!!

 

I made it to my goal of 36 weeks today. I had delivered DS almost 5 years ago at 35 weeks. So to have carried the twins longer was my goal and here I am...

Delivery day could be Monday but no later than Wednesday. I am so happy this pregnancy has gone so well

As of today's check up fundal height is 42cm. Weight for baby A estimated at 6lbs 5oz heart rate 131. Baby B is 5lbs 14oz heart rate 134. Both are vertex.
Goal remains the same, to make it to 38 weeks!!!
