At 38 wks and 4 days [Monday] I am having my 6th ultrasound. Wednesday [38 wks 6 days] I have an OB appt. I will try to get her to strip my membranes and try to 'naturally' induce. She will want to discuss a medical induction for sometime next week before I hit 40 wks. I want to do this naturally and hope that if I make it to the scheduled induction, she can just break my water and continue naturally without drugs......
Last Friday at 38 wks, I was dialated to a 4--the week before, a 3 and 80%, the week before a 1 and 75%.......things ARE progressing--thought the full moon last night might have thrown it all together and had us rushing to the hospital, but NO......
trying to be patient and wait on God's timing :unsure:

 

We have our monthly ultrasound this week. So excited to see the babies and see how they are growing! Also, have ob appointment. I have been very lucky to get this far with no issues so I hope it continues through the coming weeks. I can't believe I'll be 30 weeks next week!!! Actually, I can believe it when I look down at my absolutely HUGE belly that can't possibly get any bigger... although I know it will.

My ultrasound today {38 wks 4 days} showed everything looking good:
A [Abigail]:
fluid at 3.5
vertex posterior [ach! face-up!!]
measured a little over 37 wks at
7 lbs. 4 oz.
B [Elizabeth]:
fluid at 4.4
oblique--which was new to me, means her head is down, but her body comes up across the top [i guess a combo of vertex and transverse]
measured over 38 weeks at
7 lbs. 12 oz.

 

I have my monthly U/S tomorrow 10/6 to check on the babies growth.

 

I have my 34 week doctor's appointment on Wed and seen the health nurse today and then again on Friday.
Today went okay. My contractions didn't read on the machine as they were all in my back but she did feel the bottom of my belly tense when I had a back contraction. But the babies are doing good!

 

I have a weekly scan today to monitor the fluid levels for the boys..I had a scan last week and my MFM thought twin A has little more fluid whereas twin B has normal fluid. They thought I was having di/di twins so far but now changed testimony to mono/di twins..so they want to closely monitor me for few weeks and make sure everything is ok and then put me on 2 weeks growth scan..

Keeping my fingers crossed to hear only good news..I can't take any more tension (placental separation at 15 weeks - healed now though, dilation of kidneys on twin B - hoping for this to resolve itself, more fluid on twin A - to be monitored for TTTS) and I would really like to start enjoying the pregnancy rather than being a worry wart..

Update. U/S today went well. Both girls still measuring right on track and looking great.

 

i have my 33 week appointment on Wednesday afternoon, and hoping i make it to it (feeling niggly again). I had the joy of having to get the steroid shots for the littlies last week, as a precaution because i was having alot of BH and that my cervix had shorten (still closed though). Am hoping that the u/s tommorw shows that my cervix isn't shrinking any further and is still nice and closed. I am feeling really rough,worried and teary, but i will take that over them coming early..

 

Had my monthly ultrasound today. Everything looked great. Cervix is around 4 cm, and nice and closed! Both babies are measuring a little big. A is measuring 6 days ahead, and B is measuring 3 days ahead! A is 1 lb 3 oz, and B is 1 lb 1 oz...right on track!!!
I was a little upset to hear that at last month's u/s they found that baby B had a cyst on it's brain and no one said anything...not even the doctor after looking over the scan!! Thank goodness it disolved on its own, and it's probably best that I did not have to dwell on it, but still, would have been nice to not be caught off guard when the receptionist said "what's ... (the technical term) that they are following up on?" I felt like a tool asking the tech, who very nicely explained everything and told us it was gone. All's well now though
I also have a regular appointment on Thurs...

 

Update from my OB appt today--continuing on at a 4 {actually a "stretchy 4.5" to quote her}, now 90%+ effaced. Scheduled for a natural induction Monday, 12th at 39 wks 3 days. The plan is to just break my water and let the natural progression take place. My concern now is having to be in an OR room where it is probably not as comfy and spacious for me to be up and do the natural labor thing--walking, showering, etc. *SIGH* No use dwelling on that though, I guess--they aren't giving me any other options. The OR has the ultrasound machine and everything "just in case".....

 

Just an update: Our u/s and ob appointment went very well yesterday. Both babies are growing great (girl 2 lb 15 oz and boy 3 lbs 6 oz) and are still both head down. Our ob thinks that we have a great chance of continuing on with no issues and trying for a vaginal delivery. I feel so blessed and lucky that we have made it this far. I hope that it can continue for the remaining weeks! I also finally made the decision to go on leave from my job starting Nov 2nd! so just a little over 3 weeks of working left! whoo hooo!

 

My 34 week appointment went well today! Despite the horrible back labour throughtout Sunday night my cervix is still only 1-2m dilated! My amnio is booked for the 21st exactly 36 weeks and if it comes back that their lungs are developed I will be induced on the 22nd.

 

Great check up mom, I hope you get your vaginal delivery, I am hoping for one too I noticed you have a 3.3 year old me too, he's born on the 6th of July when was yours?
