Hi, I had my regular visit today and my ultrasound to check the growth of the girls (id twins).

    Here are the estimates:

Ava Noelle (Baby A) 3 lbs 12 oz
*Her butt is sitting on my bladder.

Iris Natalya (Baby B) 3 lbs 10 oz
    *Head down (yay!!)

Lots of fluid. Everything looks great.

I lost another pound this week which makes my total weight gain for this pregnancy only 10 lbs. Although I was overweight to begin with (5' 9 - 203 lbs) I'm still a little concerned about that, but the doctor says the girls are still growing but I need to eat 10 tiny meals a day. My iron is low, which is why I've been craving ice chips and the smell of dishwashing detergent. She gave me some iron supplements and said to eat more red meat, which I usually only eat about once a month.

My next visit...the day before Thanksgiving!

Had my doctor checkup and ultrasound today. 29 weeks tomorrow but measuring 38 weeks.

Baby A (boy) is 2 lb 15 oz
Baby B (girl) is 3 lb 1 oz

    Both are still head down!

Up to 24 lbs gained now. Not too bad I suppose. I'm going in every two weeks now, too, and start weekly NSTs in 4 weeks.

And I passed my three-hour glucose test, but my two hour number was 4 points elevated so I just have to watch my carbs which I should be doing anyway.

Wonderful! "Both are head down" is great to hear. I hope my Baby A turns soon because I would love to try for a VBAC. My first two were vaginal and my third was a section. Although I had a rather smooth c-section recovery, it is still major surgery and I would prefer a VBAC if possible.

I hope your baby turns, too! I've actually been all geared up for a c-section all this time because my doctor's office seems to favor c-sections for twins. If they are both head down and you really want to attempt it, they may let you try for a bit.

I know I still have 9-10 weeks to go so things could change, but they surprised me by staying in place since my last ultrasound.

I had a regular check up today with my OB. I was given a little bit of a talking to because I've lost 10 lbs since my last visit. I'm dealing with hyperemesis and have had to have fluids at the hospital twice. One of which was an overnight stay. :sorry:

But both babies looked healthy on the u/s. I'm only 10w3d so there wasn't too much to see. Both heart beats were right around 160 and Baby A was zooming around in her little bubble. I get to have a "dating" ultrasound in a couple of weeks, the day before Thanksgiving actually. And then I'm going in for a weight check the Monday after Thanksgiving. Hope I can put on a couple of lbs before then!

I had a routine check up with the peri team today. They sent off urine to test for UTI again - and I fully expect it to come back positive. This will be my fifth time. Ugh.

I'm dealing with upper respiratory infection, and the only thing that helps is benadryl, but it knocks me on my butt. One positive to that, is that I actually got some sleep last night! LOL

Monday I will start twice a week biophysical profiles / NST's. I'll also get a complete u/s with measurements that day. I'm anxious to see how these boys have grown! Let the roller coaster begin!

Had an OB checkup Wednesday, 34 weeks. Wife was 4cm dilated so we've been hanging in the hospital since on a round of drugs to slow contractions. Should know this afternoon if we're headed home for bed rest or going through with labor.

    Hi,

31 weeks today. I had my last cervix measurement - measuring over 4cm still and its still closed. Babies have lots of fluid and strong heartbeats. Next week I start weekly bio/NSTs and will have a growth measurement.

So far so good. I'm still sick almost daily and still rarely feel like eating, but since I'm overweight all my OB cares about is that the babies are growing.

I had my regular 16 week appt. last Friday (11/13). I'm going to call it my backwards birthday present, but it was a "traumatic" appointment. She couldn't find any heart beats with the doppler - which I posted about separately a few weeks before this appointment. She's only ever been able to find one. At this appointment she found mine twice but neither of the babies.

She did earn a bonus point because she immediately went to get the portable u/s machine. But then came back without it and said since it's twins she wanted me to go on over to the hospital for an u/s. This was at 915a and they couldn't fit me in until 1130a, which isn't the end or the world, but when you're panicked seemd like forever.

Long story short, both babies are totally fine. Baby A's hb was 158 and is still low in my pelvis. Baby B hb was 146 and is up by my belly button - so they're both kind of stacked on my right side. The tech said it was still early but that she thought B was a girl.

So, I got to see the babies for my birthday and know that they are doing well - like I said, a backwards gift after a little personal heart failure.
