This Week's Appointments Nov. 16-20

I have a 17 weeks appnt with my peri this Thurs. I'm always anxious to hear the heartbeats with the doppler. I've been a lot more active lately, so I haven't been feeling my twins as much (especially Twin B, whose placenta is up front). I get my first 17P shot as well!

 

First appointment with the perinatologist on Thursday. He will be doing the first trimester screening. He has a 3d u/s machine so we're excited about that.

Hi. We have a 3d scan this Friday too. Going to be finding out if the twins are mono di or di di. We only found out at our 20week scan that it was twins so haven't had much time to readjust my thinking yet. Will be 23 weeks on Friday!!! Can wait to see them both. DH is so excited!

 

I just got back from my ob appt. and found out i'm dilated to a 3 and 50% effaced. We have a c-section scheduled for mon. at 5pm but if they come before then they will not stop it. I'm getting so excited!!! I can't believe we are this close to meeting our little girls!!!

 

I just had an ultrasound for the di-di twins who are 14 weeks exactly today. Baby A is measuring 78 mm. Baby B is 79 mm. I am told this is right on target. Also, their sac fluid levels looked great. In fact, the doctor felt that we're doing so good that we have reduced our visits from every other week to once monthly. This is a mixed blessing. It's great that the doctor is confident that we're progressing nicely, but sad that I won't get to see them again for 4 long weeks.

Fun ultrasound moment: When we got A on the monitor for the first time, A waved. I think A was saying "hello."

 

We had a regular ob apt yesterday. Glucose tolerance test came back normal, but the rest of the bloodwork showed I've become slightly anemic so I have to take iron supplements now..no biggie. I'm measuring 34 weeks (still 6 weeks ahead), but still no weight gain since beginning of Oct...

 

I had my 17 week appnt yesterday. Heard two strong heartbeats (both in the 150s) on the doppler! I also gained a pound, which is a good for me since I'm struggling with weight gain. I've been having contractions due to my irritable uterus, but luckily the doc did a check on my cervix and said it was high and closed. I'll be doing u/s checks of my cervix every two weeks though. I also start my 17P shots to help prevent PTL. I go for my 18 week anatomy scan next Tuesday...I'm counting downt the days!!!!

 

Had my 12 week OB appt on Tues. Lost weight, BP good, and now have to get blood drawn again - since they drew blood for a blood panel clotting issue but never did the other stuff.

Had my CVS on Thursday. Had to have it both ways due to placenta placement. Hopefully will have at least initial results prior to Thanksgiving
