Ultrasound Thursday at 9am! Wish me luck that the babies are in good positions, I'm DYING to know what they are!

I have my very last MFM appt on Friday morning before my schedule c-section on 11/29! Woo hoo! I am sooooooo tired of going to doctors.

Still on pins and needles here but by this time tomorrow I should know! Fingers crossed there is a boy in there, I really want to name a son after my father and not another girl. There are already two girls named after him.

 

I am new to this online community but wanted to wish everyone the best of luck with their appointments. I had my 19 week ultrasound last Friday and a dr. appointment yesterday. Things are looking well so far with our identical boys. Heading in every other week to check to make sure we are clear of TTTS and I must admit, I am anxious. Next is on the 29th!

 

34 week appointment tomorrow. U/S first to check fluid levels and 2nd NST. I am soooo ready to have these babies! I was 2cm 70-80% last week so I am anxious to see what tomorrow brings!

 

We're going to be a house of girls! DD's 2 and 3 on the way. We're still discussing names and trying to set our minds on not having a son.

 

Just got home from Dr. Fluid levels look great, they passed the NST with flying colors! Despite the fact that I feel like I am falling apart, I am still at 2cm and 70-80%! Guess my body is stronger than I think! Dr. thinks I will go into labor in a week or 2. Getting very anxious! Just wish baby B would flip head down and get his head out of my ribs... it hurts!

 

Congrats on girls Sara! I'm also having 2 girls and have a DD at home already.

Hang in there Momof6! We're at about the same point. My c-section is scheduled for Nov 29.

 

Why are they scheduling a c-section prior to 38 weeks? My Dr wont even talk induction or c-section until 37 weeks. I am not sure I can hang on that long. Today was the first time I bled after I was checked... maybe a good sign

 

Thanks Jen! We're a little disappointed to not have a son because this is it for us... but you never know. maybe later in life we will decide to adopt?

 

Momof6: I'm scheduled for 36w1d c-section because of 2 reasons: first of all, I have mono-di twins. The mortality rate of one or both babies skyrockets for unexplained reasons (some attribute it to breakdown of the placenta) after 36 weeks for mono-di twins. Are your twins di-di? If so, that's probably why he won't do it before 37 weeks.
Second, I have extremely low blood platelets, which just continue to drop during my pregnancy. If we waited any longer the platelets could drop even more and the chance of me bleeding out during my c-section becomes higher.
