We have a u/s, cervical check and appt on Wed, then our weekly NST on Thurs. This week starts our weekly Dr. Appts. too. I can't believe we're at that point already!

 

We have an appointment with the OB this morning to go over my blood sugars for the last week. Then tomorrow morning I have an appointment with the nutritionist and immediately after an appointment with the perinatologist for another growth scan. Busy week!

 

We have a cervical u/s and Bio Profile of babies on Thursday! My cervix shortened a little last time so hopefully it is holding on! I think next week I start Non stress tests, does that sound right 32 wks? Have a great week ladies!

 

Thursday we see the doc. It's been a month, but last week I ended up at L&D with severe cramping (the babies were fine, the docs think my uterus was just irritated?!). So we see the babies, hopefully check the cervical length (no one has yet, and I'm 24 weeks!), etc. When do they do the GD tests and all that? And when do we move to biweekly? I trust my doctors, but four weeks is a long time to not see my babies!

 

Had a check up is morning. 1st cervix check, it's still closed up, baby A's head is minus 3- yeah. Everything is fine. Doc hesitated about me going back in a week or two ( I'm 33 wks) but decided since I'm doing so well, we'll still do two wks. Getting close.!!!

 

Had a 22wk checkup with the RE yesterday. Both babies are doing great! A was head down and weighing about 1.3lbs. B was sideways and weighing about 1.2lbs. Both still GIRLS!!! YAY!! My cervix is also still in the low 3's which he said was fine. Next appt is with the OB next week and they will be scheduling my Glucose test (Oh-Joy). Can't wait to see my girls again but will have to wait 5 more weeks now for the next U/S unless my OB feels like I should have one (doubtful) :-(

 

I had my 14wk ob appt today. We saw the babies and they are looking great. We couldn't tell which was baby a and which was baby b because they were side by side and neither was closer to the cervix...weird huh? The hb's were 151 and 149 and I was told that one placenta was low anterior and the other was low posterior. I was hoping that the fluttering feelings i felt last night were babies, but I have to assume it was just gas if I have an anterior placenta lol. I got a prescription for iron since my iron levels was low and will go back in 4wks.

 

We had our growth scan yesterday and both babies are measuring 2lb 3 oz. So far they have both been the exact same weights. U/S tech said she has a bigger tummy, but he has a bigger head. LMAO Can't wait to meet them. She mentioned something about them being in the 49th percentile...anybody know what that means and if its good?

Oh, edited to add that our last growth scan was exactly 4 weeks ago and they were both 1 lb 3 oz then. So they both gained exactly 1 lb in 4 weeks. Is that pretty substantial growth?

 

i have an ultrasound appointment tomorrow morning (march 11) to check on the babies, their weights, and my cervix! i'll be back tomorrow afternoon to update on how it went!!! can't wait to see my little lovies!!

 

Today, 29 weeks 6 days, we were scheduled for (1) an U/S, (2) a NST, and (3) our every-other-week OBGYN appointment. The u/s went great. The girls weighed 3.08 and 3.10 pounds and are on target or slightly ahead for their age. My cervix looked nice and long. Then we went to the NST.

Unlike before, A and B passed with flying colors quickly - no one was sleeping today! My uterus, however, failed miserably. Unbeknownst to me, I was having mild contractions every 4 - 6 minutes. This led to a physical cervix check, which showed I was 1 cm dilated and my cervix was starting to soften. I got a shot of terbutaline, which calmed things... for about 5 minutes, then my contractions came back again. I got whisked off to L&D where I was hooked to an IV. After being fully hydrated things still didn't calm much. The only good to come of this was my fetal fibronectin came back negative - which is a VERY GOOD THING. So be on the safe side, I got my first of two betamethasone shots and was sent home after 5 hours of monitoring.

Now, they don't know what to think of me. I am either going into preterm labor, or I am one of those women who have an unusually irritable cervix. I am praying for the latter. It is disappointing to be in this position. I have done so well to this point, I assumed I would skate through the whole pregnancy. I am, however, thankful that it was caught early. Hopefully, through taking it easy and being closely monitored I can keep these little girls baking for a few more weeks. I still have a goal of making it to 37 weeks!

My appointment was fine. Though, the ultra sound tech was not as pleasant as the normal woman. The doctor says I'm ok and the babies are ok, said I can leave work at 28 weeks, but lets see how I feel. (I'm 24w4d) I gained 10 pounds in a month, but he was fine with that.

Ziggy is 1 lb 4 oz, Zuzu is 1 lb 8 oz. Both looked healthy and fine. The doctor said they measure my cervix during the ultrasound, but I didn't get a number.

And I need some iron. He thinks my recent sluggishness is due to iron deficiences... we'll give it a try!

DblStuff- At least they caught it! Hope your body calms down and lets those babies cook a bit longer.

 

Today I am 27 weeks 3 days and saw the perinatal Dr for our monthly growth scan. Last month both girls were 1lb 7 oz and today Baby A is 2lb7oz and Baby B is 2lb11oz. In 2 weeks we start going in for weekly biophysical scans. We also saw our regular OB/GYN on Monday and had the glucose screening - haven't heard back on the results - hopefully nothing shows up. Start going every 2 weeks. I am starting to get pretty excited!

Appt. on Thursday went well! Cervix measured 3.25cm and babies looked good!! Still have a little over a week before our growth scan, can't wait to see how big they have grown!! Next week is my last cervical u/s check.The only bother is my constant annoying contractions! Have a great weekend!
