I go Thursday morning to the OB. Keep your fingers crossed that I'm not dilating! I can't imagine I am, there's no direct pressure on my cervix since both babies are transverse, but my cervix was soft last week. I just need to get to 35-36 weeks, give the babies time to grow enough to stay out of the NICU if they breathe and eat ok.

regular OB appt today! We have heart rates of 160 & 140! She is starting me on every 2 wk appts, but everything going good! No protein, normal BP, she said the U/S looked great and thought everything is going great! She also happened to mention her mom is a twin! How funny! It's because I told her how a patient at my work asked one of the other nurses when I was due because it looked to be soon!! Lol!! Turned out when the nurse told her I was having twins she said she was a twin too! It's funny how many patients I've had tell me they are a twin or have twin grandkids or something!

Had an ultrasound and appoitment today. I'll be 33 weeks tomorrow & the ultrasound is measure Baby A at 5lb 1oz and Baby B at 4lb 10oz. Blood pressure was 110/80 so I was very excited. (High BP runs in my family.) Doctor (OBgyn) says everything looks well and she'll start seeing me weekly.

Sara: My fingers are duly crossed!

Henderson: Sounds like we both had good days! :D

I'm 1cm dilated and we scheduled the c-section for 37 weeks 1 day, that's the day that was available. She doesn't think I'll make it that far. The perinatal doctor said babies need to be 35 weeks to stay out of the NICU and my OB said if they are born before 36 weeks they have to spend at least 24 hours there. I think when I go to the hospital next week for my ultrasound I'll try to find out some more information.

    Busy week for me.
Monday evening I went into OB triage because I was having contractions every 7-9 minutes. I couldn't get them to stop with resting and drinking water. Good news is that my FFN test came back negative and I wasn't dilated at all. They did give me a shot of terbutaline to get the contractions to stop. We didn't get home until midnight. It was an exhausting night!
Wednesday, I had an apt and ultrasound. Babies were both measuring at 2 pounds (the doctor said that was good... I wonder how it compares to other peoples babies at 27 weeks?). She also decided to give me couple shots of steroids, since I have a history of pre-term births and I seem to be having so many contractions already.
Today, I had a consult with a new doctor. She seems to be very pro-VBAC and Vaginal birth even with twins. She only requires baby A to be head down in order to have a vaginal birth and thinks I'm an excellent candidate (assuming baby A can get in position). Though I've really liked the practice I've been with I think she is more in line with what I'll want for delivery, so I think I"ll be switching to her practice.
Now, I'm gone for a long weekend away with my husband (yay!). I'm assuming this will be the last one I'll have for a couple of years. Finding someone to take 4 kids is going to be a bit trickier than 2!

That would be a total bummer if they had to go to the NICU only because they were born before 36 weeks. My first two were each born at 35 weeks. The first was in the NICU 1 week just because of low birth weight (he was 4.1 at birth and dropped down to 3.14), though he had NO problems at all. The second didn't have to spend any time in the NICU.
