This Week's Appointments Mar. 7-11

i has my u/s today, one bay weights 5.6lb, and other, 5.9lb, but baby B change position. Before they were both cephalic and now baby B is transverse. I did the NST before the u/s and she was having trouble get baby B heart beat, so then we found out the reason!!!!

 

Went to the OB yesterday. She said the babies' heartbeats are strong. Also, she said that my glucose test came back within range. My next appointment in 2 weeks along with an ultrasound.

 

Another OB appointment this week, with the actual OB this time. I'm going to make sure to get their actual rules on when I should be calling them or when I should just be going in to the hospital. I'm sure the reason for my issue was dehydration, but I'm still having light contractions every hour (not close together) as opposed to having BH. My appointment is Thursday morning and I'll go to the chiropractor after before I come back on to update.

 

36 weeks now. Had a routine appointment on Tuesday and they found protein in my urine. Blood pressure was normal at Dr office. Apparently protein level was "much higher" than they had seen with me before, so I got sent immediately to Labor & Delivery. Arrived at Labor & Delivery and when they checked my blood pressure it had skyrocketed, so I got admitted. The nurses all told me they would be very surprised if I didn't deliver that day. I'm also 1cm dilated and having regular, painless contractions every 5 mins.

After about an hour BP went back to normal so they suspected contamination with my sample at the Dr office. They decided to use a catheter to get a fresh, uncontaminated sample from me at the hospital. <_< The sample they pulled also had a high protein count, so they told me I would have to stay the night for a 24 hour urine catch.

Very long and boring night of constant blood pressure checks and urine catch. This morning, before my sample was even sent off to the lab I was discharged. Blood pressure didn't go back up, so I guess they figured I wasn't at high enough risk. I was told my Dr would call me this afternoon with more info on what was going on, but haven't heard anything yet.

I'm 36 weeks... really wondering why they would go through all the trouble of admitting me and running tests rather than just delivering the babies after 2 high protein level checks.

 

I'm happy to report another uneventful OB apt. I had an ultrasound to check my cervix (apparently the last one they plan to do) and it was measuring at 3cm which is .3 cm shorter than last time, but apparently nothing to worry about. Not much else to report. They want to see me back in 2 weeks.

@Julia- Maybe when your doctor calls you can ask about being induced if you're ready to have those babies! I can understand being anxious and ready to deliver especially if your bp is going up.

 

Update on my appointment:

The hospital called nice and early at 6:45 this morning. My 24 hour test results came back.. protein was high (obviously).
So, I've been instructed to take a shower and get everything ready, because we're having those babies TODAY!

good luck Julia!! My u/s with the peri today went well! Baby a measures 2 lb 12 ozs and she's in the 49th percentile and he mesured 3lb 4 ozs he's in the 86 th percentile their disc is 14.5% which the tech said was ok. Soi have an estimated 6lbs of baby in there! My mom said when delivered my brothers at 30 weeks they were 3 lb 4oz and 2 lb 14 oz, so righ tabout where she was since I'm 29 weeks.
