This Week's Appointments June 7-11

This is our weekly appointment thread for the week of June 7-11. Please reply here and let us know any appointments you have this week. Don't forget to come back and update us on how the appointment went. Good luck at all appointments.

 

Today we meet with the perinatologist and have a 17w3d ultrasound. This is huge for us because we have not had an ultrasound since 11 weeks. Will definitely come back with an update!

 

Ultrasound in 38 minutes...not that I'm waiting or anything.

 

I have an appointment today at 3 but I don't think anything special is going to happen. I will let yall know how it goes!

 

I have a Peri Appt for cervical length, fluid, and doppler flow on the 9th and then the regular OB appt on the 10th

 

35wk appt on Thursday. Having Group B Strep test done along with some other bloodwork (that's what they told me last week). Probably have another NST done. Can't wait..only two more weeks until the C Section!!! Hoping they stick it out in there so they can be nice and big and healthy!! Good luck ladies!!

 

So Baby A (girl) is 3 lbs 12 oz and Baby B (boy) is 3 lbs 7 oz. She (the MFM) sees to reason for me to come back because I have been going every 6 weeks and by the time I would go back they are likely to be born or almost born. She said they are growing beautifully and if she had any concerns she would have me come back but she doesn't. Great news (but, selfishly, I'm a little disappointed I don't get to see them anymore until they are born!)!

 

Had OB appt today it went great! We saw both babies on US. I am 32 weeks measuring 42 ! Appt next week with peri to check weights and my cervix.

 

Having 20 wk ultrasound on 6-10. Hoping baby shows us the business :shok: so we will know whether we have a prince or a princess. Happy with either, hoping for a girly.

 

Silly Putty...I kind of know what you mean about not being able to 'see' them. We are not even to the viability point but I wanted today's ultrasound appointment to last forever.

According to today's 17w3d ultrasound appointment: Baby A and Baby B are both officially GIRLS!?! Both are 7 ounces and are looking beautiful - one likes long walks on the beach and the other enjoys reading a good book while sitting by the fire [just kidding about that last part].

I need to learn how to be a girl!! FAST. I am going to have to post for reading suggestions.

My appointment went good. Both the babies heart beats are strong! I can't wait to see the specialist next week because I get another u/s!!!

YAY!! I had my 28 week checkup and babies look great! Baby A weighs around 2 pounds 11 ounces and Baby B weighs around 3 pounds 2 ounces. They actually have chubby cheeks already! Heart rates of 125 and 136....so the myth about higher heart rates meaning girls is false. Since I'm having 2 girls I did not gain a single ounce in the past 3 weeks but the doctor does not seem to care. My cervical length measures 4.1cm so all is good there. My ultrasound tech, just for fun, did a 4D one on me and all I can say is WOW!! Baby A was very cooperative and we could see that she looks a lot like my 5 year old. Baby B, on the other hand, was stubborn...wouldn't show us her face at all! Silly girl.

I go back in 2 weeks and then I start going every week....lots of appointments.

Hi everyone, this is my first post here!

I am 11w4d and I have my first appointment tomorrow at the OB. I just graduated from my RE so I am not sure what to expect. I think this first appt is just with the nurse and maybe the next day I get one with the Dr.
I will update tomorrow!

 

had an ultrasound today and found out we are having 2 little girls!!!!

 

Had my 35 week appt today and I am 3 1/2 cm dilated 90% effaced and at a +2 measuring 45 1/2 weeks, hoping I can stay preggo one more week in hopes that babies will not have to stay in the nicu... On friday baby A weighed 4lb 14oz and B 4lb 7 oz have another sono this friday to find out how much they grew in the past week!

 

I have a 21 week u/s scheduled for the 10th to find out what my little ones are! It will also be our first time seeing the multiples specialist! I feel like Thursday can't get here soon enough!

 

I had a regular check up at the OBGYN today, no ultrasound. Everything looks fine, I am 25 weeks and a day and I am measuring 31 weeks. It seems weird to me the way they compare it to a singleton pregnancy, but they need to measure the growth, I understand why they do it. Starting on June 28, I will have to go every 2 weeks... . Good luck to everyone else also!

 

We had a good appointment today. I've been going in weekly so they can keep an eye on the size discordance of my mo/di twin boys. I am 26weeks 3 days. Baby A was 1 lb. 14 oz. and at the 36th percentile. Baby B was 1 lb. 8 oz. at the 16th percentile. They are both growing steadily on their own curve which is such a relief. At my last scan it appeared that Baby B's growth had slowed down a little but that wasn't the case today. No symptoms of TTTS other than size discordance, heart rates were 160 and 153 and fluid was good. My cervix is also completely closed, firm, and long. I'm measuring 33 weeks. As time goes by the doctors seem less concerned about the IUGR or developing other complications since we're all doing so well despite being small. I'm still holding out hope that we'll make it to 36 weeks or beyond and a possible vaginal birth.

 

Appointment was fast, he used an OLD ultrasound machine to check the heartbeats and gave me paperwork to take to the lab for my glucose screening. Blech..I hate that part. Babies were wiggly this morning.

 

Appt. went good. 35wk 4dys, they did the BPP, babies HR's were a tad high, but had a nice baseline that the dr. said was fine. They were in the 150's - 170's. She checked my cervix and it was high and closed, so I think I should be able to make it to my C Section in 12 days!! YAY!! They did the Group B Strep test and did another round of bloodwork...she said it was for HIV and something else (said that they routinely re-do them at this stage). Didn't know that...I go back next Thursday to see my normal OB who has been on vacation. YAY LADIES!! We can DO IT!!

 

I had my 37w appointment today and found out that the babies are 24% discordant. Baby B is bigger and breech. Baby A also happens to be borderline growth-restricted at 11th percentile, which was news to me. This is quite a different picture than that which was given to me by the midwife after my ultrasound last week. The midwife had me believing that everything was fine ("Perfect" was the term she used) and that the discordance was only 12%.

For these reasons, I am having a c-section on Tuesday. This is my last pre-baby weekend!

 

i went today for my growth scan and cervix check. they were running late and forgot to schedule me for the growth scan so i had the world's shortest scan. we spent almost no time looking at then and she did minimal measurement ( ) but oh well.

babies are measuring big. baby a (girl) was 2lbs8oz in the 86th%tile and baby b was 2lbs13oz in the 93rd %tile. cervix went down to 3.8 they didn't check to see what was going on with the minor funneling i had last time since we ran out of time.
