I had my last cervical scan and my second to last growth scan this morning. My cervix looks great, the first measurement was 2.9 and the next was 3.1

the babies look HUGE. baby a measured in at 4lbs2oz, 33wks and a few days, in the 88th%tile. baby b measured in at 4lbs8oz, 34wks and a few days, in the 95th%tile. His fluid levels are high, but they said that's due to his size. The perinatologist said, while rare, we are most likely looking at 8lbs twins. Needless to say, I'm returning all my preemie clothes and exchanging them for nb. I didn't buy many, but who am i kidding? These two aren't going to be in them at all.

Had an ultrasound yesterday at 21 weeks and 6 days. they are 15 oz. a piece and baby A is only a few grams more than her sister. A bit of confusion because they might think that their are 2 placentas now but i don't believe so because all this time every u/s tech i had seen and dr. only thought there was one and we had our very first ultrasound at 9 weeks. will find out on the 19th. Tonight we are going to look at the hospital where i am giving birth. I hope it goes well

Congrats on the big babies! I was also on track for a pair of 7 or 8 pounders, but their growth slowed in the last month or so. I wish I'd had some preemie clothes- my small baby B was 5 lbs 7 ozs at birth but dropped to 4 lbs 10 oz by the time he got home. I had to really dig through my newborn stuff to find anything that remotely fit.

I didnt realize that the growth would slow down that much! hmmmm i guess I will hold onto everything until 35wks and then just see what the growth scan then says! good point

Let's see, I had an u/s this morning and found out both girls are still breech :(! Then met with the midwives and we did the Strep B... let's see how that turns out! THEN I met with the peri and he told me not to rule out the possibility of them still turning. He said they still have room for another 3 weeks, then the possibility dramatically decreases. I am REALLY hoping he's right and that they still turn! We only need the presenting twin to turn, but since they're currently head up and head to head I don't look for one to turn w/o the other. The u/s tech did estimate their weight at 5#15oz already!!! EACH! That's 12# of baby and we're only at 34 weeks!!! BP was great, no issues w/ proteins. All is going well except their position.

I had an u/s this morning (well I guess technically yesterday the 8th) and the babies are measuring average (1lb 12oz and 1lb 13oz) and are in the 51st percentile! Still no sign of TTTS or anything! Yay! My cervix is still closed and everything looks good! Both are still head down and the doctor said she doesn't think they will flip! I had my glucose test and haven't heard back from that yet, I'm assuming I would have if there was something wrong... :)

I had an appointment on Wednesday - NST, growth scan, and MFM visit.

My mono/di boys have had size discordance and Baby B has IUGR, but at this week's appointment Baby A was the one causing some concern. He didn't grow very much in the last 2 weeks, only about 2 ounces. They think it could have been his position for the ultrasound because it was hard to get some measurements, especially the head. They kept reminding me that there is a margin of error with the ultrasound and that could be it. Both babies passed the NST, both are moving a lot and have good fluid, so that all looks fine. They will be keeping on eye on him though since the results seemed unusual because Baby A had been growing really well and steadily every time. There could still be a chance of TTTS beginning, but it seemed unlikely to the doctor. The good news was that Baby B grew a ton this time and is almost caught up. They are measuring at 3 lbs. even (27th percentile) for Baby A and 2 lbs. 13 oz. (21st percentile) for Baby B.

I have another non-stress test on Tuesday and supposed to be paying close attention to movement and call the doctor if I notice any reduction in movement at all. They seem to be moving a typical amount, which is good. I hope the u/s was just off.

I had a peri appt today for a growth scan of the girls.

My girls had a discordance at 18 weeks of 26%, today their discordance was down to 12% :woohoo: Baby A (Kaeda) who tends to be our smaller baby was up to 2 lbs 5 oz which is a 15 oz gain since the last growth scan 3 weeks ago and Baby B (Ember) is up to 2 lbs 11 oz which is exactly a 1 lb gain in 3 weeks. There is some concern over Baby A's doppler flow levels not being as high as they should be at this point but because her fluid level and growth ratio look great we're just going to continue to monitor them closely for now. The peri did say that after about 33-34 weeks we'll start getting more picky about those doppler levels and if they start to look worse or just make us feel uneasy we'll take them. Otherwise we are on track for delivery at 37-38 weeks which leaves not much time at all!!!

I had my 30 week appointment on 7/9 and met with the nurse practitioner. I love her because she is such a good source of information as she had triplets, naturally.

The boys are doing well. I am measuring at 38 weeks. My blood pressure was 100/62 and I've gained a total of 32 pounds so far. Baby A is vertex and Baby B is transverse. She said that at approximately week 32 we will be able to determine if I can attempt vaginal delivery. She also mentioned what I've heard here, that if Baby A is vertex, Baby B may turn down and be able to be delivered vaginally too.

One thing she mentioned was that I had to spend at least half hour lying on my left side twice a day. Has anyone else been told this?
