Tonight we tour the hospital (printed out a bunch of questions). And Thursday we have a doc appointment in the morning. I'm 15 weeks today, so I am not sure what the appt is, just a well visit perhaps. Not with the peri, just the OB.

I had a cervical check u/s today bright and early at 7:30am! Great news is my cervix is still meauring 3.8cm at almost 24 weeks despite my irritable uterus....yay!!!!!!!!! Had a quick check on the babies who look great! I was supposed to have a peri appnt this Thurs, but I have one again next week so I canceled since my cervix looks so good, AND we're supposed to get a snowstorm on Thursday. I live about 45 minutes of major/traffic highway driving from my peri...thought that would send me into having contractions if I tried it!

Well, we went to the hospital tour. They only do it every two months, and the next time is the busy season at my job. So we went a little early (everyone else was in their 8th month!).

I quickly got overwhelmed. Everyone else's births/plans seemed so easy. And well, ours can be complicated. I tried to hold it together and focused on the positive (there were babies in the nursery!). But then the nurse giving the tour said that moms with babies in the NICU end up with singles so they don't have to hear the other baby with the mom. And I just lost it.

This whole process has been scary and not very reassuring. My OBs have not really answered all my questions. And I don't love it. I'm going to see if I can meet with a midwife there, as support for the labor. We will see what they say.

Hi everyone, this is my first post. It has really calmed my nerves to read everyone's posts about their successful twin pregnancies. We had our 33rd week appt. on Monday. The doc was in a real big hurry, but I've learned to ask quickly. :) She only did a position check to see how they were laying. They are both head down, but she is concerned baby b could flip either way once baby A is out. I really would like to deliver them naturally if possible but I understand if c-section makes things safer. Anyone have any experience with babies turning this late in the game? I am 34 weeks tomorrow!! Yippe!

I hit 29 weeks yesterday and it has been a great week so far:

Tuesday: Took a Car Seat / Breastfeeding class. The BF class was a bit overwhelming since the thought of feeding 2 at once is a bit terrifying.

Wednesday: Had my first Glucose check (I think it came back fine). Took the first of a series of 5 Prenatal prep classes. I went alone because my SO is working and couldn't be there. I wish he had been. They did a great job of describing the Labor process and what is required of each of us.

Thursday (Today): Had another U/S. It went great. Baby A is 3.5 oz and Baby B is 3.1 oz. They are both healthy and doing good. Unfortunately they are both feet down so I have four little feet hitting my bladder. And one of them is hitting my cervix on a regular basis as well (that hurts). I met with one of the OBs there that I hadn't met before and she was great. My hemoglobin is back down to 10.3 so I will need to do some work on it and eat more iron rich foods. Other than that I am healthy and the boys are great.

    Fun Note:

During the U/S the tech was having a hard time getting the readings she needed from Baby A. He was face down and she couldn't see what she needed. Finally when she was ready to give up she did one last look at him. While the wand was pointed at his face he turned and looked at us with one eye. Then I swear he winked at us and turned his head back face down. I almost cried it was so adorable. The coolest part was seeing is little perfectly formed eye looking at us. :) I love my boyz.

Regular check up today: No change in dilation, but i'm now 75% effaced and Baby A is at -2 station (last week I was 50% and baby a was at -3) We're progressing little by little :)
