This Week's Appointments Jan. 31-Feb. 4

I have an appt. on Friday the 4th. It will be my first cervical check, so we will see if anything is happening down there.

 

A visit with the midwife on Friday, earlier than necessary to help shift my visit schedule to be every 2 weeks and still coincide with the ultrasounds at the peris office.

 

Had my bimonthly ultrasound/biophysical today and everything looked great! It is still so overwhelming to see 2 babies on the monitor! They were very active today, and again, we got pictures proving they are boys

 

I'm 31 weeks today, just had an appointment with the Peri. Babies are measuring 4lb 6oz and 4lb 7oz. They noticed that my cervix is starting to shorten, so I got sent off for steroid shots (one today, one tomorrow).

Can anyone tell me if this means they assume I'll deliver soon?
Also, does their age (31 weeks) count more than their weight as far as development goes, or vice versa? I just don't want them to spend much, if any, time in NICU.

 

Had an appointment today. Nothing too exciting. I thought he was going to check me today and do the group B strep test, but he going to wait until next week. He sent us over to triage because baby A's HR was about 200, so he wanted me on the monitors for a bit. Both babies looked great on the monitors. That's about it.
