I have a peri apt and an ob apt tomorrow. Gonna be exhausting! I haven't been to the peri in a month, so im very curious to see how big the babies are. I expect the ob apt will be routine. Good luck everyone!

Good luck 3under2! I will be getting a cerclage placed on Thursday as I will be 13 weeks and I'm nervous even though I've had one before. It's just for prophylaxis my cervix is fine but I had one done last pregnancy. Yesterday was my last day of work (I asked to be put on bedrest!) Now I'm just going to eat and hang out with my girls...

Come back and tell us how big the babies are. Both of mine were 5lbs ish (one just under and one just over) or so they estimate. Good luck with it

Candyfrogs-Good luck!! COngrats and welcome to TS!! Hope you have a smooth and uncomplicated pregnancy!!

Mom2nathan- will do. They were just over 3 lbs last month so I'm hoping they at least made it to 4 lbs each. DD was only 5.2 lbs when she was born full-term, but it turned out that I had a secondary placental lobe, which is associated with low birth weight. Hopefully these babies will be bigger!! Can you believe you have ten pounds sitting in you?!?! I was talking to one of my best friends and she said 'Can you imagine pushing two watermelons out of you??' I said to her- 'Forget pushing them out, that's gonna be easy. I'm wearing two watermelons!'

Ok I'm back. Baby A is 4. 10 and baby B is 4.11. Aaaand baby A is breech :(. I really thought I was homefree because thebaby baby was so low down last time the u.s tech couldn't even get a good pic of the head. But somehow its managed to turn and is lying with its head resting on my hip bone. I am off to buy some amazing sneakers and I am gonna start walking as much as I possibly can!!! I do NOT want a c section!!!!

Oh i'm sorry to hear that. I've heard that sitting on a large exercise ball can help relax your pelvic and encourage them to go head down. Is the baby feet first or sideways? I know you're pretty far along but don't lose hope yet, it could still cooperate.

You can check out chiropractors trained in the Webster method - which I guess can help turn a baby.

Baby A is sideways, and baby B is head down, of course. The one thing that I'm really happy about my OB, is that he said today 'It's not over till it's over' and he's not running to schedule me a C-section, he told me to think positive and I still have time to get the baby to turn. I will try the ball tip and look into chiropractors also, thanks. And give this child a stern talking to ;)

Ironically, that doesn't work out better for me, because my OB is actually willing to try for a breech birth if baby A is tushie first (frank breech).

3under2: My Baby A has been persistently breech the past several weeks. I still have a ways to go, but it's frustrating as Baby B is just flipping all over place and splits his time between head down and breech. Your Baby A can still turn and I will keep my fingers crossed that Baby A makes it head down (or next case scenario, into frank breech; lucky you have a doctor willing to try and experienced in frank breech birth).

Candyfrogs: hope the cerlage placement goes well today. Yay for being done work.

I have a regular old, boring OB appointment tomorrow (28 weeks). I imagine I'll get the order to do my GTT while I'm there.

We had a great Dr's apt and ultrasound on Tuesday. The babies are growing very well and are good sizes. Induction is planned for Jan 26th unless I go earlier on my own or they decide to move up the induction. It's crazy to think we are now three weeks and counting!!!

Just had my ultrasound and the boys are A-4.1 and B-4.5 at 32 weeks. They are both head down and have been for the past 2 ultrasounds, hopefully they stay that way. Does anyone else have monodi twins that is going to try to have them naturally or has had them naturally. I'm really scared about B getting stuck and the placenta coming out after A. The doctor said that B has to come out within 30mins of A or they will have to go in a get him out. It would be so exhausting to do a labour and then have a c-section in the end, but I guess it happens.

Had an ultrasound today at 16w5d. She tentatively said I have two girls in there. I also discussed labor with the OB and he is willing to try for labor if baby B is breech. He is an experienced doctor so I had the feeling he would but I felt better hearing him say so.

Sbristow: I don't know about mono-di twins specifically, but I just had this discussion with my OB today who said they like Baby B to come out quickly after Baby A. We talked about the possibility of A being born vaginally and B by c-section, but she said it didn't happen very often and couldn't remember the last time it had happened in their practice. Again, not sure if it's different for mono-di who share a placenta but she seemed to be talking in general about twins and not just di-di twins. ETA: That said, the last baby born in 2011 and the first born n 2012 were a set of twins at my hospital and they were 6 hours apart and did fine even though they were 34 weekers. My OB said that it was unusual to go that long between babies, but the situation was progressing just fine so they rolled with it.

My appointment was boring, which is good. BP and urine normal. Heart rates were great on doppler. Don't go back for another 4 weeks (at 32 weeks) since I have a growth u/s on Jan. 16th where they will do BP and check the babies.

Thanks J-Squared, good to hear and I guess we all just have to roll with it, trust the doctors and hope for the best! Goodluck with your pregnancy and it's exciting as the days get closer.
