Hello Ladies! This week I'm 27 weeks and I have an appointment on Friday to check my cervix (last week it was 3.9cm) and a quick scan of the twins!! Another growth scan isn't for another two weeks. They are checking my cervix weekly now since during week 26 I was in L&D three times due to lots of contractions. The combination of Procardia and Terbutaline has been keeping my contractions in check and haven't had to go to L&D in almost a week Just hoping these babies stay in there a lot longer!!!

I have an appointment tomorrow for a growth scan and then a check up with my OB on Friday!

 

When do they start measuring your cervix?

I have my 20 week scan on Wednesday, and a visit with another OB in the practice (who herself has twins!). We toured the hospital yesterday and LOVED it. (We had checked out the other big one in town and left really disappointed and confused!) Hopefully the doc will explain some things (like the chance of bed rest and giving birth vaginally) and hopefully we can see if Zuzu is a girl or boy! (Ziggy, Baby A, cooperated, and we now know he is a boy)

Oh, andmaybe they can tell me what to do about this ridiculous heartburn!!!

 

I'm not sure. I was kind of wondering the same thing. I'm 23 weeks today and have not had a single cervical measurement. Although I had a check up down there for another issue a couple of weeks ago and she said that from what she could tell by looking and feeling that everything is closed up nice and tight. But I've never had an actual measurement done.

 

24 week appt on Wed 10. THey are doing a growth scan, a cervix check and a regular appt. Then we head over the L&D for the first steroid shot on Thurs and the 2nd on Fri. So far so good and no cervical changes (still @ 4cm), but when I go into labor it happens FAST and there's no time for shots before the babies are born. So having the shots early will make sure the boys get them in case we do go into labor before 34 weeks.

 

We had our midwife here yesterday and we think Baby A has turned head down from breech. :Clap: Hopefully it will stay that way now. We have a u/s on friday which is 35 weeks for us. Then in to see the high risk team on Monday morning. So our appointments just get closer and closer. I have never had my cervix checked the whole pregnancy. I don't think it's standard in New Zealand unless there's a problem. Hope all your appointments go well :good:

 

Have anatomy scan today!! so excited to see if we have hamburgers or hot dogs or one of each!!! And of course, praying that above all they are both happy and healthy!!

 

Just came back from my appointment, 2 days short of 29 wks. Discussed with my doctor about the single umbilical artery issue, doc says not to worry. Also talked about the possiblity of changing hospital coz the hospital I REALLY want to deliver my babies is a Catholic hospital and they wouldn't let me tie my tubes.
Gained 4 gigantic pounds in the past 2 weeks! Next scheculed doc visit is in 2 weeks, but in between I'll have one visit with my peri.
Tired from yesterday's superbowl party!!

 

I'm 32 weeks. Non stress test today, all went well. Thursday Another non stress test, I think my first internal exam?, than a growth ultrasound. Can't wait to see how big the boys have gotten over the last four weeks!

 

I have a check up tomorrow. They will do a quick scan to measure my cervix (they started measuring my cervix at my last appt which was at 18 weeks) and they check the heartbeats. I start growth scans at 24 weeks - yay!

 

Found out last night that we are having TWO GIRLS!!! WOW!!! I am so shocked and excited. I thought I was going to have at least 1 boy in there!! totally surprised!! Now I will have THREE girls!!! :ibiggrin:

 

We had our growth scan this morning and both babies are doing wonderful! Baby A (our girl) had a heartrate of 157 and Baby B (our boy) had a heartrate of 151. Both babies weighed in at 1 lb 3 oz! So nice to have a weight in lbs and not just ounces anymore!

 

24 week appt today. Both boys look great and are heads down (although obviously they can flip at this point!) A is 1lb 7oz and B is 1lb 8oz. And best news of all - my cervix is 4.6cm!! Woo-hoo!! B opened his eyes and blinked at us, and A showed off his swallowing and yawning skills. I could watch them play all day! Tomorrow is the first of the steroid shots and for some reason I'm more nervous about that than I am about labor. Silly, right?

 

Ladypotter congrats on your girls! I'm having 2 girls too. I thought for sure I had at least one boy in there too... hmmm actually I thought it was 2 boys.

Anyway, I had my appt this morn. All is well, Cervix was a 3.9cm. Baby A is head down and B is trans. I start growth scans in 2 weeks (at 24 wks) They gave me the nasty orange glucose drink to test for GD next time. Hope I pass it- have a feeling I won't.

 

Hello!

This morning's appointment went well. We learned there are two little boys in there!

Their anatomy scans looked fine to Ultrasound tech, doc will look at them. And we met another doc in the OB group, who has twins! LOVED her! Signing up for prenatal classes this week, and started aqua aerobics!

 

Yesterday, we had our monthly u/s at 25 weeks 6 days. Baby A weighed 2 pounds 3 ounces and was measuring 26 weeks 4 days. Baby B weighed 1 pound 15 ounces and was measuring 26 weeks. The u/s tech said they looked great and had excellent heart beats. The OBGYN confirmed the good hearbeat conclusion this morning. GO GIRLS!

Now our monitoring schedule kicks up to every two weeks and I get to look forward to a GCT (Glucose test for gestational diabetes) and an H & H (hematocrit & hemoglobin for iron deficiency) in the next two weeks.

 

We had our growth scan for the babies yesterday. Baby A is 2 lbs 8 oz and Baby B is now 3 lbs 4 oz!! Better yet they are both practicing breathing now and they were both moving lots(This is Awesome! Baby B wasn't breathing or moving last time) I've been having very regular contractions for a week now but my cervix is still closed so that is wonderful news... however I'm 30% effaced and cervix is only 1 cm long now.

 

We had our appointment with the OB this morning. She said that everything is looking great. I had a huge growth spike from my last appointment two weeks ago but she said it's probably just babies growing! I'm measuring 31 weeks and will be 24 weeks on Monday. She changed my bp meds because the labetalol I've been on is interfering with my asthma. They also set me up for a discounted 3D ultrasound next week since I've been with them since 6 weeks and not missed any appointments.
