This Week's Appointments Feb. 7-11

Going back for another ultrasound, the doc says Twin B has Polyhydramnios, too much amniotic fluid. She said only slightly so going to see how we measure this week. Fingers crossed it was just a bad measurement last time! They say it could be early sign of GD oh yay, but they said he doesn't appear to have any defect, swallowing issues or GI blockage and kidneys measured fine.

 

I have a quick ultrasound to measure cervical length this week. It's become an every other week thing for now. I will probably also be getting my first progesterone shot this week. Oh fun!

 

I have an appointment on Thursday. I'm pretty sure he is going to check my cervix and do the strep B test. I also have an u/s so we will see how big these babies are and what position they are in. They were both head down 2 weeks ago, so I'm hoping they haven't flipped on me!

 

I had an ultrasound today. Baby A was breech for the whole thing but I'm pretty sure I felt her flip a little while ago. She's usually head down. Baby B was transverse as usual. Both babies had good fluid and were measuring good, about 2.5 pounds each! The doctor was quick and didn't say much, just said to come back in another month. I had to see someone I don't normally see because of the temp not working tomorrow in my office.

 

I had an ultrasound to measure my cervix yesterday - measuring at 3.9cm, which the ultrasound tech said was just right. I also had my first progesterone injection (ouch!)

 

I have been so nervous about my appointments these last couple weeks. I was never nervous with my other pregnancies. I'm nauseous as it is, but I think I'm making it worse by worrying. I haven't had any problems during this pregnancy, so I don't know what my problem is!!! Maybe I just can't believe it's so close now!

Since we are getting to the end here, whenever I have an appointment, I'm just nervous that they are going to find some reason to send me over to the hospital to be induced or something!! Last week one of the babies HR was really high, so they sent me over and today I have an appointment and u/s and of course I'm worrying again. I'm going to be putting my hospital bag in the car from now on, just in case.

i had my U/S on wednesday, everything was fine... and then on Thursday i had my appointement with OB, he said everything looks great, better tha last week. He said if I still taking care of myself I can do until 9 months, but if they decided born soon, everything will be ok because I already took the steroids shots!
i am getting anxious, we are almost there!!!

 

Ya for a good appointment. The steroid shot wears off after 2 weeks though.

 

I had an appointment last Thursday. Everything looks good. The u/s showed that both babies are head down and that baby B has decided to make a move and try to get out first (they have been pretty much side by side the whole time) as his head is very low. Baby A is measuring 5lbs. 9oz. and Baby B is measuring 5lbs. 13oz. The doctor checked my cervix for the first time and I was 2cm and 30% effaced. He seems to think they will come in a week or so. I'm preparing myself mentally for another 3 weeks though (he will let me go to my due date but not past it). If they come earlier than that, it will just be a bonus!! My last 3 pregnancies went well beyond their due dates, so we will soon see what happens with this one!!
