This Week's Appointments Dec. 7-11

This is our weekly appointment thread for the week of Dec. 4-11. Please reply here and let us know any appointments you have this week. Don't forget to come back and update us on how the appointment went. Good luck at all appointments.

 

Have our NT test and first meeting with the Perinatologist tomorrow (11.5 weeks). Once we get good news at that appointment, we'll be telling friends and family

 

I'm just under 26 weeks and headed for my glucose test now.

 

On Wednesday morning we have our "N2" which will basically be a regular gyn exam, but we'll hear the heartbeats! I've been really uncomfortable this week (gas pains!) and will be relieved to hear their little hearts.

 

I will be 29 weeks on Friday, and this week I have my OB appt on Wed. I passed my glucose test 2 weeks ago, and am really looking forward to my perinatologist appt next Monday.

 

I am at 25 weeks and had an appointment last evening. I hated it. The hospital I go to requires everyone to see each doctor on staff at least once so that you have met your doctor before you go into labor in case they are the ones on call. I think it is a great idea but it stinks in practice. I miss my doctor. This guy pretty much had nothing to tell me. He came in looked at me and said "well you look fine". He had almost no answers to any of my questions. Told me to wait for my glucose test until my next appointment (I will be 29 weeks at that point). Then sent me on my way. It was the biggest waste of an appointment yet. The worst part is that I won't even see my doctor at my next appointment. It will be the end of January before I see her again. Sooo frustrating.

 

AmyMarie3, that DOES sound like a frustrating appnt!!! GRRRRRRR.

I had a GREAT u/s today to check my cervical length. I didn't realize I would get a peek at the twins, too. The are both transverse with their feet facing eachother....and they were kicking eachother like mad!!!! Hilarious! Their heartbeats looked great and fluid great too (we'll get growth measurements in two weeks). But the best news of all is that my cervix has remained at a 5 (I'm 20 weeks tomorrow)...despite my irritable uterus which causes fairly frequent contractions. Go cervix....keep holding!!!!

 

Update!

I went in this morning for a regular gyn exam with the ob and to get all my blood tests back. Everything came back negative, I finally found out my blood type, and we got to see the babies! We were suposed to do the doppler to hear the heartbeats but she said with two it would be hard to distinguish, and instead we headed to the ultrasound. There they were! Waving and moving around! It was pretty great! We're at 11 weeks now... almost over the scary scary part. Then its just the mildly scary part!

Next week we have the NT tests...
