This Week's Appointments Aug. 2-6

Peri appt on Friday to check doppler and fluid levels.

 

Regular OB appointment this Wednesday...and the gestational diabetes screen!!! Somehow I am nervous...like taking the SATs nervous. What is up with these hormones??

 

had my last growth ultrasound today. Nora is 6lbs and Liam is 6lbs 4oz both measuring big for gestational age. AND both have polyhydraminos. They made me redo the 1hr gtt so I am going to have those results in an hour. Liam is Frank Breech, Nora is vertex. They ALMOST failed the 40min NST, but pulled through in the last 2 minutes (thank god.) I am contracting, but thanks to the polyhydraminos I can't feel them. FUN.

2 more weeks, just 2 more weeks......although these babies are comfy.....it could be 3....

 

i just had my 35wk ob appt. we didn't do a cervix check so as not to stir anything up. i am still measuring 47wks, (yay! i was petrified of measuring bigger.) up to 182.5lbs, gbs test came back negative. he set an induction date of the 22nd if i haven't gone into labor before then. he also said i DO have to do the twice a week NST's and that polyhydramnios isn't something to play around with.....so it looks like not only do i have an hour round trip to and from the OB each week, BUT i will spend 4hrs a week going to and from the hospital until i deliver.

 

I had my follow appointment today with the peri about my cervix and it is way longer then they orginally thought and he said at this point there is no reason they shouldn't go full term. Yay way better then finding out I could be on bedrest at 14 weeks. Regular dr tomorrow.

 

I have my 28 week appointment this week on Friday with my midwife- hoping to see those cute boys on the ultrasound again!

 

Today Tuesday - I had my first NST and ultrasound. For the NST test, the nurse had told me it was going to be 40-45 minutes but it was actually only 20 minutes. She came in after 20 minutes and took the printout and came back 5 minutes later and said the doctor was ok with it. At the ultrasound, we found out that Baby B is now vertex but Baby A remains breen (they were both breech at my peri appointment a week and a half ago). I was hoping Baby A would turn to have a better chance of trying vaginal but no luck.

Thursday 8/5 - another ultrasound and appointment with my OB.

As for me.. I had my peri appointment today and Baby B has polyhydramnios and Baby A has low normal levels of fluid. Their dopplers both looked okay though. We start NSTs and BPPs next week. And it's sounding like they are going to do another measuring of the girls next week as well.

 

Update from this weeks appointment: the GD screen was negative. I am anemic, but no iron supps. needed right now. I have gained 50lbs. already!!!! :shok: The OB is fine with the weight gain?! I am 5'9" and feel big, but...wow...I have not heard of 50lbs. gain at 26weeks???! Girls heartbeats are good. Will have our next US on Monday - cannot wait...with 50lbs. of weight gain, I expect to see two giant amazons in there. Hee-hee.
