This Week's Appointments Aug. 17-21

I have my almost 32 week appt with OB and we have sono I think she said we might be doing NST but I am not sure if its this week or next time. Excited to see the boys I wonder how much they have grown since last time. I will post an update as soon as I can.

I had my 37 week appointment a few days early this morning - due to schedule conflict on my OB's end (Wed. is my normal day). Baby B has turned vertex again. They only measured one baby since my last visit was less than a week ago - Baby A measured 6 lbs. 8 oz. I was dilated to a 1 and 100% effaced. Still trying to hold out for my 9/1 C and my OB still says I won't make it - he's been telling me that for weeks now ... My bp was elevated for the first time ever, but no protein. The nurse took my bp again while lying on my left side and it was normal. That's it, I think. Just sweating it out - literally, it's supposed to be 103 in Austin today - until next week.

 

Here is an update on my appt. The sono was great both babies are doing great and they are BIG Baby A is 4lbs7oz and Baby B is 4oz. Baby A is vertex and baby B is breach. We weren't able to see Baby A's face since he had his back turned to us. Baby B gave us the biggest smile and opened his mouth few times and stuck his tounge once :wub: Everything looks great. My BP is normal and I am measuring 41 weeks . Now I will be going for my visits every week and will have my first NST next Monday.

I have an ultrasound Wed which I am very excited to find out about weights and positioning in. I am expecting TwinA to be breech, but you never know! Maybe he decided to flip. Thursday I have my weekly NST and an appointment w/the last OB in the practice I have not met.

 

20 week appointment wednesday(tomorrow)...anatomy scan...at 17 weeks they were pretty sure that they were boys but the confirmation will be nice but they have to be boys now or Neal's heart would break. He wants boys so bad. I just want to find out their weights. I am still down 13 lbs from my prepregnancy weight but i know they are growing. I get comments like you know you're going to have small babies and you can't help that. So i just hope they're atleast on track.

 

I had our 26+6 week ultra sound and it was awsome, I am so happy right now, I was so worried about TTTS and at this scan the little one had caught up they are both the exact same weight right now, give or take a gram. The other surprising thing is they are both measuring on the bigger side. I did a rough calculation from the metric system that they use here and they are 2 lbs 12 oz right now. I checked in my son's baby book and they are actually weigh more than he did at this time.

 

Hello All!

I am 29 weeks.
Baby “A” is breach and measures 2lbs10oz
Baby”B” is head down and measures 2lbs9oz
Baby “A” is measuring low fluid…..hmm what does that mean??
My doctor said not to worry that they would see me in two weeks and check it again, but to stay horizontal as much as possible and drink lots of water. He also said that I was not leaking…..but then why is the fluid low??
I am measuring 3cm long/closed???
I was measuring 4cm three weeks ago.
Does that seem normal?

I am having my Pre-Op appointment on Friday! Yay! I can't believe that my boys will be here in 8 days! Next Thursday, Aug 27th will be the Birthday, unless they decide to come before!

 

I had my second appointment of the week today - I went on Monday, but my OB wanted to see me again before the weekend. Still 100% effaced - have gone from 1 cm to 3 cm. The "check" about sent me through the roof - I cannot WAIT to be done with that. They sent me off to keep cooking - these are identical boys, and my last baby, who is also a boy, had a fluke-y surfactant deficiency when he was born at 39 weeks. That was no good, so we're trying to avoid a repeat performance since my OB seems to think that they might have a slight predisposition to the same problem. I'm hoping I can hold on, as miserable as I am ...

 

Had an appt and u/s today...both babies are head down, yay!!! I am hoping they are too cramped in there to turn anymore. Baby A (girl) is 4 lbs 3 oz and baby B (boy) is 4 lbs 13 oz...both above average, another yay. He didn't start the cervical checks yet since I haven't had any signs of PTL (knock on wood). Everything still looks good though, fluid, heartbeats, blood flow through the cords, my BP...I'm uncomfortable as heck but I'll take it, it's worth it!
