This Week's Appointments April 4-8

Thursday ultrasound and Friday OB appointment. I love surprising them every week when I actually show up, so hopefully I'll make it through this week. We have a friend whose son has a rare genetic disorder and they are coming over Sunday to pick up stuff to sell at a garage sale to fundraise for a wheelchair accessible van. Her son is coming for a play date, I don't know how it would go since he isn't so mobile but I think Naomi will play nicely with him. I want to be home for that. After that it's sort of fair game, LOL.

 

have a special ultrasound on the 8th. They keep sayin that the babies are meassuring large for the dates.

I had my weekly check-up today. She listened to heartbeats, weighed me and took blood pressure (120/78, yay). Ultrasound next week. And my doc seems fairly confident that I'll make it to my scheduled c-section in my 37th week.

 

We have our 4D ultrasound this Thursday, 4/7 :ibiggrin: Cant wait until we see their faces

 

Have a growth ultrasound Wednesday(30w4d) and OB Thursday. Also will have to fit in meeting the nutritionist and getting a blood sugar meter/tester thing (failed my test).

 

that sucks Twinkerbelle failed glucose test I ha OB appt monday which was the start of my weekly NST's which I didn't know till I got there oh well! Then off to an U/S with the peri thursday! Can't wait to see how big the kiddos are now! Last time the estimated total baby weight was 6 lbs! Oh my bp was high no protein gotta have it checked a couple times at work this week!! I blame my stressfull job!!

 

Ultra sound went great. at 30 wk 4 days Twin A is 3 lb, 13 oz and Twin B is 3 lb, 9 oz. Got to watch Twin A yawn in 3-D - so cool

I have an appointment with a MFM/ TTTS specialist 3 hrs away tomorrow for potential TTTS. Ugh. There were descrepancies in weight and amniotic fluid at last week's appointment so I was referred there. The appt. last week was with a MFM specialist and he made things sound AWFUL. Man. I was soooo lost and my husband and I were totally confused. For those of you who pray...please pray for us. The appointment is tomorrow morning and hopefully the babies are doing well. I've upped my protein and TRIED to rest as much as possible. I've also spoken to Mary at the TTTS Foundation and researched all angles of TTTS. We aren't giving up hope on our beautiful baby boys!!! Any words of encouragement are SOOO gratefully appreciated!

I LOVE reading about you guys' accomplishments, milestones, and sometimes complaints. HA! You guys have been soooo helpful these past 16 weeks!! :thanks:

 

I had an OB apt today. I passed my 1 hour glucose test by 1 hour... YES! I don't care how I passed it, I'm just glad I did. Doctor said all of my other labs look good too. I'm measuring 35 cm, which is larger than I measured with my singleton babies even at the end of my pregnancy. The doctor is running a FFN test to be on the safe side given my history of pre-term labor and the fact that I'm having a lot of contractions. Results should be in tomorrow. Good appointment, but looking forward to the one in 2 weeks when I get an ultrasound too

 

had a growth check! Well twin A measures 3 lb 12 oz and twin B measures 5 lb 2 oz!! Sooooo we are at 26% disc now so my doc feels better taking me off work but she said there is no sign of growth restriction since she gained but is down into 20th percentile now and he is at like 90 something!

 

yay! I got my results today, and I passed my 1 hour as well! I was a bit surprised!

 

I had my 24w appt. Babies are doing great - one was measuring 25w, the other was measuring 24w6d. My cervix is 6cm. My OB said that at my next appt they would probably schedule an induction when I am 38w. There are 13 OBs in the practice I go to. So far, 1 has said that I would be induced if I did not go into labor naturally, another said that she has had pt carrying twins not deliver until they are 41+ weeks, and now this OB said that he would induce at 38w if I don't go into labor naturally. I'll find out at my next appt what that OB thinks.

 

Found out today that my FFN test came back negative. I guess that means at least 2 more weeks of pregnancy... which is a really good thing at this point!

 

First post here! Expecting ID twins, unknown gender....16 weeks along.
I had a regular doctor visit to monitor weight/urine/etc. Everything looked fine til she tried to find a heartbeat. I had gas (gross!) all day and my tummy felt upset even during the visit. She got the doppler and had a hard time finding the heartbeats because she said they were wiggling. She ended up doing a quick ultrasound to reassure me they were fine...as soon as the twinkies appeared on the screen, I realized they were playing! Rolling around, swinging arms and kicking legs, and moving so much!!! She pinpointed the heart locations and I got to hear them both and see them on the screen. Loved seeing my babies playing!!!

Aside from my regular OB, I have to see a specialist every 2 weeks for an ultrasound to monitor for TTTS. Next appointment is next Monday!

 

Welcome to the board! I forgot to update mine, the babies both looked good and were flipping between transverse and breech. At no point did it look like either baby was actually aimed properly for delivery, there just doesn't seem to be space with all the legs down there for even a breech delivery. My OB the next day was surprised to see me still pregnant, but I'm doing good there too. I gained a total of 39 pounds this pregnancy, they won't weigh me again until my 6 week follow up appointment. We moved my c-section to 10:15 next Thursday which is better and now we're just waiting and finishing up the last minute prep!
