This Week's Appointments 5/25-29

This is our weekly appointment thread for the week of May 25-29. Please reply here and let us know any appointments you have this week. Don't forget to come back and update us on how the appointment went. Good luck at all appointments.

 

I will have my 32w u/s and NTS tomorrow and my OB appointment on Friday.
Will update later during the week.

 

Tuesday I have an appointment with my peri and Wednesday I have one with my OB. I dread my peri appointment b/c laying flat on my back for the ultrasound makes me nauseous and dizzy

I have an appt. with the MFM on Friday..It is my first one..I will be 12 weeks then as well..

One appointment down for the week! Babies are growing and measuring exactly where they should and my cervix was nice and long. Yeah!

 

I have my first NST and an O.B. appt. on Thursday. This will also be my first appt. since monitoring my glucose levels for GD. I am hoping they say we are doing pretty good with just diet. I have had only a few come back slightly high.

 

Just had my regular OB appointment and everything looks good. Babies are growing and bp is good and urine is clear. Except for swelling and some cramping (which we talked about at the appt.) all seems to be going normal. I am measuring 28 weeks at 23 weeks so not too bad I guess, although I FEEL huge LOL!

I have my peri appt. tomorrow.

 

I had my first meeting with the OB today - measuring 25 at 24 - so still only one week ahead, but doc is not worried. I do think if I went to the GP who measuered me at 21 we'd find she would get a number more like 26 or 27. The OB felt my fundus significantly higher than the GP did 3 weeks ago.

She got one heartbeat no problem, but had troubles finding the 2nd. She did find what she thought was the cord pulse - and it was a different number than the babe's heartbeat we heard, so she was confident that we'd heard both babes. She said she was not concerned, and to come back in 3wks.

She was irritated that the GP didn't automatically requisition another u/s when she sent the referral letter. Now I'll have to wait up to 6wks from the last u/s to get in for the next one and she was not happy about that - wanting one more the 4-5wk range. She put urgent so hopefully it will go thru.

 

just had my 30 week visit with U/S. Both babies are doing great. Babies are measuring about 4 days ahead. U/S showed weights of around 3 pounds each give or take. It was fun (LOL) to lay on my back and see a butt stick straight up out of my tummy! It looked like a strange volcanic mountain!!

 

Had my 19 week appt. I got to meet my new OB/Gyn since we moved to new state and she is amazing I am so happy with her. As for the babies we listened to the h/b and it sounds good I am measuring 25 weeks

I have sonogram tomorrow we are planning on find out the sex I will update you on how that went.

 

Had my peri appt. today...everything went great!! Baby A is measuring 3lb. 10oz. and Baby B is measuring 3lb. 8oz. My cervix is going strong at 4.7 cm and the best news is that I no longer have to see the peri! She joked and said that I was boring. :woo:

The only negative thing to report is Baby A went from vertex to breech and Baby B is still transverse, so I hope one or both makes their way down to being vertex. I really don't want a c-section.

Ok, here is update for hte u/s it's actually was BPP and everything is good with babies they didn't check the cervix and growth but they checked all organs and said they both active.
about NST I had only negative emotion it took me 2.5 hours and the test wasn't done. babies flipped away from the monitor and I can only hold one and nurse was very nervous and made me crazy and after laying flat on my back for 2.5 hours my back hurt badly and etc... now I am not sure if I want to have this test to be done every week. if she will make me crazy each time.

Will have my OB apointment on Friday and will update later.

Everything went really well yesterday. The girls performed nicely for the NST after we got Baby A to cooperate! I had two contractions while on the monitor which I didn't realize it would pick up BH so that was a bit crazy. The one was a "pretty good one" from what the doctor said but I am getting so used to them!
They also said my readings for glucose looked fine so we are sticking with just monitoring with diet for now. I did have to explain my one morning reading at 184 which was due to indulging in Golden Grahams cereal but it was just calling my name. :blush:

Are they crazy??? At my peri's they will only try for 40 mins. tops to get reading with the NST, if the babies don't cooperate they send you into ultrasound and watch the babies for a bit on the screen, check heart, etc. AND I am not put flat on my back, they have nice comfy recliner chairs to sit and relax in.
Sorry your experience was so stressful and hopefully you don't have to go through that again.
