I have my first appointment with my OB today..23 weeks. I am really nervous about it as I haven't seen an OB in years.. my MW promised I would like her though so hopefully it goes well.

 

Peri 4/15 for the first time, really nervous about my situation (see previous post-17 weeks, small ges. sac). Hopefully he/she can provide us more information and assistance.

 

OB appointment on Thursday the 17th, I will be 36 weeks cervix check and ultrasound.

28 week checkup--have to get my Rhogam shot. Also an ultrasound; I hope to find out the babies are putting their little heads down where they belong, and that Baby A really is a girl. DD will be so disappointed (briefly) if there's not a girl baby, too. I'm seriously considering switching practices, so I have to come up with a few last questions to ask before I make the decision. But I'm getting the impression from my own experience and from others that if you want a natural birth in a slightly trickier situation, this is not the place to be. <_<

 

Just got back from regular OB appt. she checked me, cervix is still closed tight, and she told me she scheduled my C-section for May 9th..which is 39 weeks(due to Baby B being breech)...how in the **** am I gonna make it that far???? It seems like an eternity away.

I have to get weekly ultrasounds now and weekly NST's.

 

I went in for my weekly OB appointment and my 34 week u/s today. Everything is going great. My blood pressure has gone down and is going down when I roll over on my side again. It quit doing that last week, so things have improved. I lost a pound, and the doctor wants me to eat smaller meals and more often. He is afraid that the babies are pushing on my stomach and causing me not to be as hungry. The twins are growing great. Molly is 4lbs 9oz and Stefan is 4lbs 7oz. They didn't gain as much as I had hoped they had, but they did gain and at least they have both improved on their weight together. Molly's h/b was 140 and Stefan's was 146. They are growing great and they see no reason for concern. My AFI showed that I am still at 8.5, so that is good that it hasn't decreased anymore. My NST was good. Everything went quickly. They are still moving and groving in there! I did have 1 contraction while I was there but that was it. I go in on Thursday for my next NST. Let you know what I find out!

 

We had our 35/36 week NST and OB apt today. The babies are doing fine, Baby A was not as cooperative this time so it took a little longer than usual. They were both also trying to climb under my rib cage, not comfortable. They were looking good though. My BP was a little higher than usual when I went in, but no one seemed concerned, I had a migraine this morning so that may be why. My cervix is closed and high still so we are doing good. My regular dr will be back for my apt next week so I will feel better about the results. So far so good.

My doc just called me and said she rescheduled my C-section for APRIL 22!!!!!! THAT'S NEXT WEEK:a_smil09: :icon_eek: WHOOHOO!!!!!!!

 

Regular monthly OB visit on 17th....

 

Had my u/s and the babies are both growing fine--measuring exactly the same. Still can't be 100% sure Baby A is a girl, and they're both lying sideways now! Crazy kids. Everybody says they've still got plenty of time to move, but I'm a little worried because DS was transverse at 37 weeks.

this is the update i sent my family in a mass email:

Today 4/15 we had another NST which the Dr described as “beautiful” and he checked the amniotic fluid and he said it looks perfect… The peri also went on about “our case”…. How he would have never thought I would make it all the way (due to the complications early on) and that the boys would look so great in size … he even asked us to give him a call when the babies do arrive as he wants to see them in color and is excited to see their final birth weight… but I’m sure he says that to all the girls.

His last tid bit was he THOUGHT if we had another trip to L&D that the Drs wouldn’t try to stop it now that the babies should be fine… Noah was born the day I turned 36 weeks (2 days from now), so I know it makes me comfortable from here on out for them to make their grand entrance… but he isn’t the delivering OB…so we shall see… I know a fellow twin mom who looked up the next full moon and she said it’s on the 24th (Noah was born into a much crowed L&D on a full moon).

Well I just got back and things are going great. I am now almost 3cm dialated! He asked me not to have the babies over the weekend because he's hoping to take the weeken off :huh: He also wants to see me back on Tues. instead of my regular Thurs. He will strip my membranes then. I think we are both hoping for babies next week but we will see.

we had our 30 week 4 days u/s yesterday...baby a weighs 3lbs 10 oz (head down) and baby b weighs 3 lbs. 3 oz. (breech)! Both have strong heartbeats and fluid around them is great! Cervix is closed tight!

BPP went wonderfully ..... my uterus is now measuring at 40 weeks! Had an internal exam as well, since I've been having lots of cramping at night. Cervix is CLOSED ... YAY!
Back next week ......
