I have a meeting with my OB on Wednesday. It is just a routine visit. I am going to ask about my iron levels and probably be yelled at for weight gain.

I have a 24 week ultrasound tomorrow at 9:00 and a 1:30 doctor appointment. I am really looking forward to the ultrasound - it will be the first ultrasound since we found out the shocking news of twins at 20 weeks. Since I am expecting the twins to be there, I won't be in shock can enjoy seeing my little angels! lol

I have ultrasounds at 9:00 and 9:30 on Thursday. they booked two appointments- one for each baby- haha!

I am very excited. It has been almost a month since I have seen the babies. I can't wait to see how they have grown.

I was supposed to go on the 2nd, but my friend who watches DD had an OB appt of her own that day, so I rescheduled for when my mom will be visiting.

I have my 33 week checkup and an u/s tomorrow. I get so excited for my weekly appts since I am on bedrest and that is the only place I am allowed to go to. :) One of the boys flipped last week to head down, now both babies are vertex! Yeah! Trying to have a vaginal delivery is all goes well.

I had my 24 weeks appt. today. Babies are both measuring at 24 weeks..right on target. Heartrates were good. I can never make out what's what on their sono screen, and my doctor isn't very good about pointing things out. That's my only complaint.

Still on bedrest. Hoping it was only temporary, but my doctor is too concerned about PTL. Doing my best to do nothing....but having a 21 month old it's kind of difficult.

Looking forward to my appt. in 2 1/2 weeks with the perinatologist. He's better about showing me things on the sono screen.

We have a routine OB appt on Wed. Currently 4cm 50% effaced. Mild to mod irregular contractions all weekend. Procardia not as effective. Maybe soon?

I have a Wed. appt with my OB. Then I will start my weekly appts after this week. I just had another growth u/s last Thursday. At 32 weeks, Victoria weighed 3. 6 lb & Michael weighed 4.13 lb. She still has excess fluid around the kidneys so I'm gonna once again find out what that's all about. I'm gonna ask also if we are going to do a scheduled c-section since she is still breech & he's transverse. We'll see!!!!

Had my weekly ob appt. this morning and I measured 38 weeks. She checked my cervix today and it is softening but still high and closed. Looks like I will likely go all the way. Yeah!!!! Now hopefully Isabella will turn and I can have a vaginal delivery.

I didn't get to post before I had my appointment, but yesterday I had my second NST and OB appointment. This is how it went.

My NST went great yesterday. Only one contraction and it was a BH since I had to pee. LOL. Than I went for my appointment. I have only gained 3 pounds. BP was perfect. I'm measuring 46 cm. Yikes. No wonder I feel huge. The boys heart rates were both in the 130's. Than they sent me for an u/s so I got to see the boys. Didn't get great pictures so I don't have anything to post. They are now breech facing each other. They seem to like lying right next to each other face to face. They are measuring Baby A 34 weeks 3 days and Baby B 34 weeks 1 day. And drumroll please, they are now weighing in at over 5 pounds each. These boys are not going to be small. No wonder I feel like I'm going to explode. So if you know of anyone who needs preemie clothes let me know and we can make arrangements to send them to you. Well I will talk to you all later.

I had a growth/fluid/cervix check ultra sound at the peri's office yesterday. I have been having trouble with my OB getting mad that the peri is doing most the ultrasounds. I got the feeling it was more about money (pissed me off..sorry but true).
So I told the peri how the OB nurses were making comments, and he said "I want you here, for ultrasounds to check on fluid/growth and cervix EVERY 2 weeks & to monitor any signs of TTTS. No need to get any ultrasounds done at your OB from now on. Tell them that."
Finally SOMEONE making a stand. I felt like a pingpong ball. The OB nurse saying they if the Peri was going to do ultrasounds then THEY had to call for my insurance Pre Authorization.
OMG, it went back and forth...it was awful, I was near tears, as I almost didnt HAVE this ultrasound because no one called in the Pre Auth!!!
Well I got it all sorted.
The cervix was 4.5 she said, long and not budging (whatever that means), and the peri doc looked at the fluid quick, and said "Looks GREAT, keep up the good work!" So no signs of TTTS. :clapping:
Next appt is my Exhocardiogram to closely examine the babies hearts!?!
Good luck to you all! Sarah

Well, I had my OB appt yesterday and a sono. Both boys are doing great and growing, which was a relief since Baby B did not gain weight at last weeks sono. They are both head down still, hoping to have a vaginal delivery! And VERY active :) At the OB appt my cervix was checked and Dr said it was still closed.
Yesterday after the appt and all through the night I began having very intense menstral like contractions (which I have had BH contractions and am on Procardia since 26weeks) at 5-10min intervals. By monring everything was back to normal and the painful contractions had stopped, I was still concerned that something had changed so I went to see my OB. She checked me and my cervix had in fact changed a little, it is now dilated to 1cm and 90% effaced. It just amazes me how fast things can change. Im still at 33 weeks which is earlier than I want to deliver, so hopefully I can cook these babies for atleast another couple of weeks.

Does anyone know if once you are effaced to 100% does that mean you will begin dilating faster and start the process of labor??

    Hi,

Had appt with our Peri today. Baby A is on my right side breech and weighs 3 lbs 4 oz. Baby B is on my left and was vertex a month ago, but much to my dismay has turned himself/herself breech and weighs 3 lbs 14 oz.

Peri was happy with how everything was coming along and has ended care with me and turned me solely over to my OB! He said if I was to go into labor after 32 weeks (next week) they wouldn't stop it, since they thrive better in NICU than "IN YOU" so... whatever that means!

I have an OB appt next week Wed where they'll start the NST's. I felt like I had more to write about but I guess that's it. Everything is going well. I'm still working full time and will until I just can't.

Today had a growth scan and appt with OB.
Baby A HR 155, head down, 2lb 13oz all looked good...
Baby B HR 153, breech, 3lb 2oz, all looked good...
I gained 6 lbs (Easter dinner and leftovers ) but she wasn't that concerned
With all that had been going on with my BP (it's good now) I asked if I could have my C-section on 6/10 which is 35weeks, she said that she was thinking more of the 24th since I was doing so good which would be 37 weeks!
Back in 1 week for BPP and cervical check because they didn't do one today...

Appt went well and babies are plumping up nicely. Baby boy is 4lb 3oz and baby girl is 4lb 2oz. They were both transverse at 28 & 30 wks, but they each have moved into a breech position. I forgot to ask what I was measuring as we were talking and got sidetracked. I now have a tentative delivery date of May 20. Woooooooooo! Next appt is in 2 weeks and that's when I get my first cervix check, along with the usual ultrasound.

    Take care, everyone!
