Just got back from 38 week appointment. NST - normal, BPP - normal. My C-section is scheduled for FRIDAY!! 3/6/09. I can't believe that my twins will be here THIS WEEK. I'm doing quite a bit of freaking out. Last week the twins were 5lbs 15oz and 5lbs 13oz. By the time of my C-section, they should be about 6 1/2 lbs each! OMG I can't believe they are almost here!!! I'm SO nervous of my C-section!!!!

I'm wondering what a "biophysical" is, I haven't heard of that before.

I have my nuchal translucency ultrasound tomorrow. I love an excuse to check in with the babes.

I had a BOPS/NST test today, they gave me a printout of results but I won't see my OB until Thursday, so I guess I won't really know until then. Had to drive through a blizzard to get to the hospital, it was beautiful but dangerous of course... and the hospital was so empty and serene. Baby B got hiccups and the sensor kept jumping up, it was really funny - apparently they cannot get a heartbeat during hiccups so we had to wait them out for 10 mins or so. :) All seems well though... coming back on 3/5 for another BOPS/NST test plus ultrasound and exam with my OB. Getting so close, exciting and nervous all at once!

Had my 29 week appt this morning. Babies are doing great and both are now head down! Doc says this can and probably will change again, but I am hoping they stay this way. Had my glucose test and will find out results tomorrow. Also had my rhogam shot since I am A-. Otherwise all is well and I am trying to learn to slow down and take it easy. Hard to do with two active kiddos at home.

The biophysical profile combines an ultrasound evaluation with a nonstress test (NST) and is intended to determine fetal health during the third trimester. This test is performed if there is a question about fetal health and well being resulting from either an examination, maternal/fetal symptoms, or if the pregnancy is considered high risk.

My MFM practice starts them at 32 weeks for all multiples. They do it with via u/s only; they measure movement, HR and breathing I think and give each baby a score.

Starting 34 weeks on Wed and see my OB for a check in. Had u/s last week and babies are doing great - Baby A 4 lbs 11 oz, Baby B 4 lbs 13 oz. Both head down! Cervix is 4cm so looks like i'll hold out at least 35 weeks. Now if I can just manage this swelling....ugh! Good luck on appts this week and congrats to everyone!!

Went to se my MFM Specialist today for an us. Found out my cervix has LENGTHENED from 3.82 to 3.86, but that there is the beginning of funneling, so i am on strict bedrest and he will see me in 2 weeks. Both babies are head down, and moving alot less but heartbeats are strong.

I have a routine OB visit on Thursday and then an u/s on Friday. I'm excited to see the babies, but not looking forward to the trans/vag part- they need to assess thickness of the cervix. I know it is necessary, but I am a big old wimp  .

Both appointments went really well. My OB says there is no reason why I can't go to 36/37 weeks for delivery.
At my OB appt, Baby B had flipped from vertex to breech
Today at my biophysical, she flipped to transverse; BabyA remains vertex so we are still planning on trying for vaginal delivery.

Both babies did all the necessary activities for the BPP so that was completely normal.

due to a change in my insurance and my current or should I say former OB and Peri not being in the new network, I have a new doctor that I am meeting tomorrow. <_< After visiting the hospital today to make my appointment and going to the hospitals website I think that I might be making another change tomorrow. The hospital is a level 2 and I would feel more comfortable at a level 3...

    Hi,

I don't post much but will try to do so from now on!

Ok, so I had a regular OB appt yesterday. I'm measuring 30 weeks though I am 25 weeks along. Both HB's were about 168 which is high for them, usually they are around 140-150. They were really moving around so OB said that could be why so high. They did a Fetal Fibronectin test to determine if I'll go into labor in the next 2 weeks. (Internal test, much like a pap where they swab cervical secretions and then goes to the lab to determine if I have any threat of labor coming). I will now have OB appts every 2 weeks so I'll have the test every appt.....great! NOT!

I've gained a total of 11 lbs (8 in just the last month) so I'm happy that is on the up and up.

I hope I added everything I needed to. Just FYI, we're team yellow/green.....NOT FINDING OUT GENDER! :)

Well, 4 hours later, I have changed hospitals and doctors again. This time I am still in the county that I live in and feel more comfy closer to home with a level 3 NICU if the need should arise. My appointment is next friday with the new Doc! Wish me luck...

Had last OB appt today. C-section on Tuesday. Very excited. They are estimating around 6 lbs or slightly over. I guess that could also mean slightly under. We will be excited to see if they are identical or fraternal, but either way, I am ready for them to come out! :)
