This Week's Appointments 3/16-20

This is our weekly appointment thread for the week of March 16-20. Please reply here and let us know any appointments you have this week. Don't forget to come back and update us on how the appointment went. Good luck at all appointments.

I will be meeting with the perinatologist this Wednesday at 9:30. He will be check my cervix with a transvag sono for the last time. I am on bedrest, and my cervix is almost back to "average" length since being on. And I have had two FFN screens and both came back negative so far! Woohoo! They will also be checking the fluid on the boys' brains. We pray it is the same or better!

 

I will be finally meeting with my doctor this Wednesday, after just finding out my 20 week ultrasound on 3/10 that I have had twin girls hiding. I have a million questions for my doctor and am waiting with much anticipation for this appointment. Have no clue what this appointment will entail with the "surprises", but will soon find out.

 

Wednesday I go for my regular OB appt and a biophysical profile. My Mom is going with me for the first time so she can see the girls before they are born.

 

I had an appt this morning, just a regular 16 week check up. She could only hear one heartbeat, so she had me get a quick ultra sound. FINE by me! I want to see those little babies growing anyways.

About me: I am 16 weeks with Identical twins, share a placenta, due Sept 1st.

So they saw both heartbeats right away :woohoo: and by the look of them, they appear to be the same size. This was not an extensive ultra sound (no measurements), so it was just a quick look, but they look good!
Baby B was kicking, and tossing, and on top of Baby A, who appeared to be trying to sleep! Too cute. Tried to see the sex, but baby B was too rowdy, and we couldnt see.

Next appt at peri in 2 weeks! Can't wait! Sarah

 

Have an appt with the MFM Specialist tomorrow morning ( Tues ), for an u/s and growth check. We will also get a c section date then, so im pretty excited to see an end in sight. :woohoo:

I have a peri visit tomorrow. He'll check my cervix length (they're IVF twins - so we have to start having it done every 2 weeks) and hopefully we'll find out genders!! :lol:

 

I have an ultrasound to check babies growth & cervical length on Thursday!!!

 

had 2 appointments today.
in the morning with MFM they check the crvix and said it's fine. also check both babies girl has hb 142 a boy 136
in the afternoon had GD test in my OB office ( 1hr test) will find out the result tomorrow. also I am measured 32 weeks with singelton ( I am 22 with twins) OB said it's good. and look like weight gain is ok too.

 

Tomorrow on the 17th, not sure if the time difference will show, I go to my doc, have a list of questions and will probably be starting my bedrest. After this appointment he mentioned I will be going in weekly.
Last Thursday, we went to the high risk doctor for ultrasounds, Twin B isnt really catching up to her sister..Im almost afraid that they arent fraternal but they are identical and we have some TTS going on.. Also, at the high risk appt we found out that Twin A has alot more amnio fluid than Twin B. So, will keep you all updated. Good Luck ladies.

Update on my appointment today, the doctor said that I have what some would call the ideal twin pregnancy. The difference in size, he did mention that the larger twin is who we should be more worried about, because the smaller baby kind of builds a little more protetction for herself, she prepares more for the outside world and builds some immunity..The larger baby, who I call my little porker rests more and usually the larger twin has more trouble than the smaller. So, that answered my question. He actually answered all of my questions to be honest.
However, after my March 27th appt, I go on bedrest. Honestly, Im glad to go on bedrest, my employers (the army) are trying to pressure me into quitting. And the stress of my job is unreal right now. But only 8 more days and we shall see.

 

I had my 28 wk check up today with the OB. Babies look good and all is well. Apparently, they are still quite satisfied with their accommodations. Baby girl weighs in at 2 lbs 11 ounces and is in a transverse position...her little feet on my left side and head on my right stretched out across the top of my belly. Her heart rate is 161. Baby boy weighs in at 2 lbs 8 ounces and wants to be like his twin sister -- he is also transverse, feet on the left, head on the right, and situated right underneath his sis. Can't be comfortable for him...or me for that matter! His heart rate is 152. I am measuring 34 weeks, so I am definitely feeling it these days. Nine.more.weeks.to.go.

I had my 16 week peri visit yesterday. Both babies look great; almost too active to get measurements. Cervix looks good and closed. Both babies were around 6 ou. We think we saw little packages on both babies, but they were squirming too much to definitely declare boys.

I'm a bit freaked out by two more boys - I already have an extremely energetic 5 y.o. son. I already feel the gray hairs coming on I guess I'll save money on toys though.

So, two more weeks and we'll do another gender check.

Both girls did excellent on their BPP today. They were actually moving and practice breathing so much it took 3-4 tries to get a HR strip they could record and store. So they got full points on all aspects and go back next week for another.

OB appt was noneventful and all is normal; I will go back in 2 weeks if I haven't gone into labor to schedule my induction and get my GBS test done. WOW - can't believe I could get to an induction point!

 

I had my 20 week check up and u/s at the peri. We have 2 girls!

This is CRAZY!

I got the result yesterday I pass the 1 hr TEST - YEA!!!!!!!!!!

 

I have my 32 wk US today! Baby A (Lacey) HR was 144, weighed 4lbs 8 ozs, Baby B (Kahden) HR was 148, weighed 4lbs 3 ozs! They are getting so big! Both fluids look great and they are still both head down!!!! My cervix shortened a bit more to 1.2cm and I started dilating, I'm 1cm. I'm still in the hospital on bedrest, trying to get to 34 weeks, which is next week Saturday...fingers crossed!!!!
