This Week's Appointments 11/26-30

I have a midwife appt. on 11/29, just a weight/BP/urine/heartbeats check!

 

Today (Mon.) - u/s to check babies' low fluid levels and regular OB appointment.

 

Appt tomorrow -- 34w6d and an u/s!

 

appointment tomorrow (regular OB) and I have to drink the yucky sugar stuff to test for gestational diabetes

 

I had an OB appt tpday (the 26th) that went very well. I am 32w5d today, and the doctor was very happy with how things are going. They are both over 5 lbs and over the 80th percentile for growth. They have plenty of fluid and look very healthy. This was awesome to hear. Seems like 7 weeks of bedrest have been really successful!

 

Well, the ultrasound today showed no improvement with the babies' fluid levels. This is likely caused by the anti-contraction medication I am taking (Indocin). The doctor is putting in a call to a peri at the U of Minnesota to develop a new plan. Chances are I will be taken off the current medication, but she wants to get another opinion about whether to go without anti-contraction meds for a while or to switch to a different medication. The doctor said she'd call me tomorrow and let me know what to do.

Other than the fluid levels, things look good. The doctor was pleased with the two pounds I've gained. The babies' heart rates were good.

The doctor wants to see me every week now (she said for the rest of my life, but I'm hoping for just a few more months. :lol: ). So, I go back again next Monday.

 

wednesday 28th i go to the doctor for an u/s (first with them...had 1 at the ER last wed, thats when we found out it was twins). im hoping and praying there are still lil heartbeats thumping away in there, and that theyre both measuring as they should.

 

Tomorrow (Tuesday) I go to my OB and for my level 2 u/s. Hopefully we will find out the sex… luckily they are identical, so we only have to see “the goods” on one… but I also have to have that blood test done tomorrow… I hate needles…

 

11/29 OB .... where I get to make my amnio appt and then c-section appt!!! YAYYY

 

I had my 16 week check today. I gained another 5 pounds, uggg!!!! He said not a big deal, but we should try and cut back on some of the carbs. He checked the babies heartbeats. Baby A was easy to find, and we even heard the baby kicking. Awesome!! Baby B was being a little shy, although we were able to hear a brief beat. The doctor seemed pleased. We set up an u/s for Dec. 21st, Yeah. I can't wait to see them again, the internet updates say they should double in size over the next three weeks. I am feeling more encouraged, but still a little nervous til I get to the viable stage.

 

Hi! I have my big U/S tomorrow (11/29 - 20.5 weeks) with the peri @ 10 AM!!! I'm a bit nervous (I haven't had a U/S since 11 weeks) but very excited. I hope everything looks good and I also hope the babies cooperate and we get to know the genders! I'll let you know!!!

 

I had a great appt. with the midwife today!!!

My boys are both head down, and they've dropped--Baby A is very low, and Baby B is right there behind him. She said I am the ideal candidate for a vaginal twin birth--so no need to do a section unless there is a problem during delivery. She said not to worry about my BH contractions--and that honestly, she's okay with me laboring at home for as long as I am comfortable (hah! I haven't been comfortable in weeks!) unless my membranes rupture. She also said she expects my next appointment (December 14th) to be my last one, since I am measuring 42-43 weeks already, and having increased mucous and increased BH ctx.

I am really excited now!

 

Well, our U/S went really well today! Everything looked great with both babies - and we're having two (more) daughters! I'm so thankful that they look so wonderful! My cervix is over 4 cm and looking good - yay for that! Baby A is approx. 13 oz and Baby B is approx. 12 oz. - just out of curiosity, does anyone remember if that sounds similar to their 20ish week U/S weights? The peri didn't say anything seemed abnormal, I was just wondering how it compared to other 20-week twin measurements. Thanks!
