This Week's Appointments 11/24-18

I have my regular OB appointment today, Monday November 24th.

I have my 34 week peri appointment on Friday November 28th.

Starting this week I see both of my doctors weekly until I deliver.

 

I had my regular OB appointment today, too. I'm measuring 40 weeks, I've gained 44 lbs (following Dr. Luke's guidelines so this is a good thing ), my BP is good, cervix is measuring 2.5--it's shortened quickly since it was 4.6 on 10/17! The OB said she's glad it's still this long though, and it is still firm and closed.

The boys didn't get a growth scan today, but they both did great on their biophysical profiles. B was really going at it with his practice-breathing! It was fun to see. A's hb was really fast--175--and B's in the 140s, which is more normal for both boys. A is still vertex, his head firmly right up against my cervix, and B is still breech--sitting on A's head! I wish he'd move; that just can't be good for poor Baby A! (Also really hoping B flips back to vertex as I'd love a vaginal delivery if possible.)

Had an FFN; waiting to hear the results of that.

The OB suggested I go ahead and schedule a C-section for around 37 weeks, but I wasn't up for that; 3 of the 5 OBs I've seen there have said they're OK attempting a vaginal delivery for a breech baby B, and DH and I are leaning toward switching to the other OB we consulted with last week.

I saw the doc today for the nuchal translucency scan. The measurements were good. I just have to wait on the blood work. I am 12 weeks and 6 days. Both are growing good. They are in seperate sacs and have their own placentas. I know most likely they are fraternal but MD said that they could be identical but it is not as common. I just want them to be HEALTHY!! Baby A really looked like a girl to me but I could not tell with B. Baby A had the three lines between her little legs...just like my other daughter did. Does anyone think I could be right? The tech would not say either way. I go for a level II scan in 5 weeks...what exactly does this mean??

 

Crossing my fingers... I have a 3 hour glucose test with my peri on Wed. I'm not sure WHY its in the office but of well.

 

Ultrasound & doppler Tuesday.

Perinatologist consultation Tuesday.

NICU tour Wednesday.

...and an appointment with my therapist on Wednesday to help deal with all the stress!!!!

I have my NT scan tomorrow (the 26th). Totally a nervous wreck here... hoping all is well! It's been nearly four weeks since I've seen them via ultrasound, so that is something I am greatly looking forward to.

Amber just had a "quickie" appointment today, due to the doctor having a delivery at the hospital. They did the usual bloodwork and urine sample, and she measured her, but Amber didn't find out what the measurements were. The doctor listened to the babies heartbeats, and Baby B's was a little higher than his brothers', but nothing to worry about. She is to go back in 1 week, and the doctor hopes she will make it at least to 34 weeks...which is 3 weeks away.

 

Today we went for my 33 week Ultrasound. Korey is out of school so he was able to see his brother and sister on the screen for the first time. My Dear Hubby was also able to go, he hasn't seen them since my Ultrasound at 17 weeks when we found out we were expecting twins! It was wonderful to have him there with me. He is usually out of town because of work and he always feels bad that he can't go to doctor appointments with me.

Both babies are head down YAY!! Ryley decided to flip back. Last week at my prenatal checkup he was breech...I hope he has finally made his mind up. They are in position and ready for take off Kelsey's head is way low and right on top of my cervix. She is ready.

Here are the twins stats:

Twin A Kelsey:
Heart Rate: 130BPM
Weight: 4lbs 2 oz

Twin B Ryley:
Hear Rate: 136BPM
Weight: 4lbs even

Ryley has caught back up to his sister and I am so happy that they are now 4lbs. I have 3 weeks until my 36 week due date and I went ahead and scheduled another Ultrasound for December 17th at 36 weeks 2 days. They do not think I will still be pg then though. I am hoping to deliver at least at 36 weeks. I want these babies to cook and grow as long as they can. Although, I would be lieing if I said I wasn't ready to have these babies. I am so miserable!! My feet, lower legs, and knees have been extremely swollen and putting my feet up doesn't help. They hurt so bad and I can barely walk. I am in constant pain and sleep is near impossible! Even though I am so miserable, I feel so blessed to still be carrying these babies and that they are both healthy.
