This Week's Appointments 10/27-31

This is our weekly appointment thread for the week of Oct. 27-31. Please reply here and let us know any appointments you have this week. Don't forget to come back and update us on how the appointment went. Good luck at all appointments.

 

I have my 33 week appointment on Wednesday. We're down to weekly appointments now so I'm guessing it will just be the normal ultrasound and a NST.

 

I have my regular OB on Wed - haven't seen him in a month and he has a lot to go over with me from all the tests etc from the Peri.
Friday I go to the Peri for a growth scan, cervix check and overall talk about what is going on....

I'll be a bit on pins and needles this week..... :huh:

 

I have an appointment with my ob on Thursday. It's our first official appointment since finding out twins last week.

 

I had a regular OB appointment this morning. He is very happy with everything. I am measuring about 20 weeks at 15 weeks pregnant. We took a quick look at the babies, both heartbeats were strong and they were very active!

 

I had an ultrasound and appt this morning. Baby A is head down and weighs 3 lbs 7 oz and Baby B is head up and weights 4 lbs 4 oz. I have my first NST on Thursday and now get an ultrasound and dr's appt every Monday. He is kind of worried about IUGR, but isn't sure if Baby A is really small or if Baby B is just really big.

 

Ultrasound on weds. Cant wait to see my babies again!

 

Right now I have my 28-week appt (and u/s) scheduled for this Friday. Since I might be changing OBs though I might be cancelling that! I may be trying to schedule consultations with a couple of "prospective" OBs within the next week though.

 

Weekly and NST (no US) today. I'm nervous because I spent Sunday night in the hospital (can't remember if it was my 5th or 6th stay). I really don't want to be back in unless its to have babies!

 

Any appt. updates?

 

Went great! Got to go to have a last minute ultrasound, both babies are head down locked and loaded, so looks like I'll get to have a vaginal delivery. Also getting taken off the medicine that's stopping my contractions on Monday so babies next week are a real possibilty. Oh and A is 5lbs 12 oz and B is 5lbs 1oz, real possibility that A will be over 6lbs, esp since I gained 4 lbs last week!

I had my 33 week appointment today and it went pretty well. Kind of boring but I guess boring can be good. I'm all puffy and swollen today so I should have guessed my blood pressure would be good (I apparently go the opposite direction that most people would think). It was 114/78 I believe. They just did a quick ultrasound and they were just looking for the amniotic fluid level (which was good), heart rate (both good), and that they were doing 30 seconds at a time of practice breathing (also good - although Walker was kind of taking his time giving her his 30 seconds which kind of freaked me out but they said they both looked good). The decided to check my cervix one more time (apparently they're done checking it at 33 weeks) and it's still nice and long (didn't get the # this time). Walker is still breech (his little bum is sitting on my cervix but there is still a pocket between him and the actual cervix so no major pressure on the cervix) and Jocelyn is still transverse. Apparently she's taking up quite a bit of room and her brother is more under her. Space is getting tight! We go back next Friday for my next ultrasound. I'm not sure if they'll do another NST. They decided not to do one today because everything looked good. He asked me if I had another 3 weeks in me. I just kind of gave him this look like ewww if I have to - and said I think so. He laughed and said that we'd be scheduling the c-section about then but as of next week if anything happens on my own then he won't stop it (34 weeks) so he says we're about ready to have us some babies!! WOO HOO!! I know it's good to keep them in there as long as I can but at least hearing him say that makes me feel like it's CLOSE and that they'll be ok if they come. SO on to next week.

 

I had my 17 week check up today with a quick ultrasound. The babies look great and I'm already measuring 23 weeks!
Doc says he's 100% sure it's a boy and a girl!!! He told me that a couple of weeks ago, but said he was only 95% sure.

I scheduled my "real" comprehensive ultrasound for Nov 18th. I'm so excited because he's getting a new state of the art U/S machine that check the babies in slices like a cat scan machine, so they can see everything really clearly!

I go back in 2 weeks for my normal appt.

Today I had my 29 week Ultrasound and growth scan. Babies look great. Kelsey was head down and Ryley head up. They will continue to flip around until 32 weeks or so before they will finally pick a position. Here are their stats.

Twin A: Kelsey
Heart Rate: 141 bpm
Weight: 2lbs 12oz Wow! She gained 1lb in 4 wks. Yay!

Twin B: Ryley
Heart Rate: 153 bpm
Weight: 2lbs 6oz He gained 11oz in 4 weeks.

The two were only one ounce apart 4 weeks ago and now are 6 oz apart an 11% discordinance. Doctor said that is fine, as long as the discordinance is less than 20% than it is nothing to worry about

I am bumbed out cuz I couldn't get any pics. They were both being stubborn and wouldn't show their faces.

Hopefully next time I can get some pics!!

Things are looking good, yay.

Both babies are still vertex--A's head was so low they had a hard time measuring it! (Hopefully he's not in a hurry to get out! )

Estimated weights are 2lbs12oz (A) and 2lbs10oz (B). HRs were 146 and 144 bpm.

I got a manual cervix check for the first time (closed) plus the ultrasound measure--3.9 cm, so still looking good.

Oh, and I'm measuring 36 weeks!!
(I measured 27.5 at 22 weeks so I have expanded quickly.) That makes sense because I've definitely been feeling more awkward in recent weeks--harder to pick things up off the floor, etc., and breathing has gotten harder.

Only bad thing--besides the phlebotomist accidentally torturing me a bit before getting my blood sample--is that my iron's a bit low so the OB prescribed iron supplements, but I hear that's very common with twins.

 

I had my 27 week apt today and everything looks good. I start my weekly now. I measured 29 weeks, the doc said it was good. He went over my ultrasound results and a is in the 45 % and b is in the 26% ? i don't understand that..but he said it was good.

 

I had my 32 weeks appt. and u/s's last week-

Baby A my girl is head down as usual. Baby B my boy was head down 2 weeks ago but he flipped back head up! :angry:
I am just praying he will flip back.

She is 4.1 lbs and he is 4.3 lbs and my cervix is 3.3.

Lookin good-just need 2 head down babies and we are good to go!!!

 

34 week appointment on Friday. Hoping to maybe get a c-section date although I have a feeling he'll put it off for another week or so.
