This Week's Appointments 1/12-16

This is our weekly appointment thread for the week of January 12-16. Please reply here and let us know any appointments you have this week. Don't forget to come back and update us on how the appointment went. Good luck at all appointments.

 

I have a BPP/EFW u/s this morning at 730 and then my 35wk appt a couple hrs later. I think group B strep is going to be done today, also will be going over birth plan with doc (decided to try for a vag delivery)

 

I have my three hour glucose test tomorrow along with my growth u/s and 28 week OB visit. I am nervous I am going to fail the GD test. UGH!

 

I have my regular check-up with my O.B. Tuesday morning. I am hoping to go over the ultrasounds reports with her. Not to mention I have a TON of questions lined up! LOL

 

I have a OB appointment on wed !

 

I have my level II u/s and genetic counseling on Wednesday. Hopefully babies cooperate and we can also find out what we are having.

 

Just saw my peri a little while ago for a cervix check and quick look at the girls. She said, and I quote, "If everyone had a cervix that looked that fabulous my job would be a lot easier." So in other words my cervix looks good and the girls look good too. Little buggers flipped on me, A is head down B is breech!

 

Had a Dr appointment this morning. Got an u/s (love those!), and both babies are doing really well. My little girl apparently hates the u/s and was trying to crawl up under my ribs to get away from it. Ouch! They are both measuring 2-2 1/2 weeks ahead still, which is good for them, but not so great for Mama. I'm carrying over 12 lbs of baby, and still no sign of labor. I'm not dilated at all. We set up an induction date today for Jan. 31, but I am hoping I don't last till then. All in all, every thing is going great though, and I can't complain.

 

my last plain ole' ob appointment is on the 15th... i'm gonna miss the excuse to get out of the house, and the italian beef sandwhich that usually follows the appointment.

 

Appt/ U/S update


yep...thats what my internal exam felt like....like my OB was trying to pick my nose through my cervix, I don't remember them every being that uncomfortable...but then I don't really remember what labor was like either. Good news is that these contractions I have been having all weekend finally have been doing something, I am dilated to 1cm and soft and thinning...yay!!!

Babies are still doing good...Baby A is 4lb 15oz and Baby B is 4lb 13oz...thats almost 10lbs of baby

Doc was a little concerned b/c I gained 5lbs in 4 days (grand total being 41lbs ) and of course have swelling in my legs but he also said I had it in my belly (how do you tell that one, I wonder) sooooo I have to do the 24hr urine again and more bloodwork. But I didn't have to get admitted mostly b/c I really am feeling pretty good. So our next goal is Jan 20th....just 8 more days, I think I can do that.

We also talked about delivery, and I think I am going to try a vag delivery but only if my OB is on-call..I just don't think I could trust anyone else at this point, but we'll see what happens I guess. So over all, I left feeling pretty good about things.

I had an ultrasound last night, and at 36 weeks Baby A is 5.5 pounds, and Baby B is 6 pounds. Hopefully things will look good at my weekly OB and NST tomorrow

The appointment went great! They have labeled the babies as mono/di, so that is what we are going with. Can't wait to find out what sex they are! I am measuring at around 17 weeks. The babies heart rates were 157 & 160. We talked about getting set up with a peri as well and doing another u/s in four weeks. Other than that, I am feeling pretty good and everything went well. On a side note, my little girl turns 10 today.....where has the time gone?

Yesterday was the 32 week appt! Not so great news. B went from 3lb 3oz to 4lb 7oz but A only went from 2lb 10oz to 2lb 14oz. Peri appt tomorrow, might have to be having babies soon as next week!!

I did NOT fail my three hour test today!!!! Yea! I am so pleasantly shocked. I went in thinking I would fail because I was so shaky from the sugar from the one hour test. Whew! We also had a growth u/s and Baby A is measuring 28 weeks 5 days (right on) and is 2 lbs. 15 oz. Baby B is measuring 28 weeks 2 days and is 2 lbs. 12 oz. Everything looks great except that both placentas are really close to my cervix. Probably going to have a c-section due to the placental placement if they don't move even though both babies are head down. Cervix is nice and closed and no softening much at all. : )

 

I had my 24 week appointment and u/s today. The girls are doing well. Baby A was harder to see this time. I got a great look at the back of her head and one ear! Baby B is looking wonderful. This is the most we've seen of B. They are measuring 1lb 9oz and 1lb 6oz so far. I hope that keeps up! The doctor told me that it's time to give up the grocery shopping and let my husband do more. This is so that I can work longer. One baby is transverse and one is breech.

I have to schedule the glucose test in a few weeks. I'm also RH negative and will have to have the Rhogan shot. Anybody know more about this? I'm not terribly worried, I just don't know much about it.

 

I'm 34 weeks and 3 days today... I had my last growth scan.... Baby A is 4lbs 14oz and Baby B is 4lbs 15oz..... They are doing great the dr says. Baby A is REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY low that they could almost not get the head. They also did the NST today and after that I been in SOOOO much pain. They were pressing down on Baby A to get the HR and I guess it just agravated her. I feel like I cant walk now. Other than that Im all good. I have a regular OB appt tomorrow. The other dr said Im good to go whenever. OHH Yeah they also said they could see that they were doing their practice breathing! So everything is going really well. :banana:

We had our level II u/s yesterday and both babies are doing great and we are having 2 boys. One baby is tranverse and the other baby is breech. Hopefully they will change. Baby A was kicking baby b in the head during the scan and baby b had his hands up behind his head like he was warding off the kicks. It was too funny. Again we are just so happy.

Im relieved and annoyed to share that the U/S tech for the Peri measured them at 3lb and 3lb 9oz. Peri said no way to OBs measurements. Should be good for another 4 weeks!
