This reflux is going to kill one of US!

I can barely get 2 ounces in Libbey at a time over the course of an hour... she shrieks in pain We are on Previcid.. she sleeps in her bouncy seat.. this is AWFUL!

 

How long has she been on the Prevacid? Longer than 7 days?? Maybe its time to try something else? Are you feeding her upright and keeping her upright for at least 30 minutes after each feeding?

Reflux is very hard on everyone involved. Mine had it as well. :hug: to you.

 

So many of us here feel your pain with reflux.

I'm sorry she's hurting when she eats.

i feel your pain. we went through that and we're now going back through it again because the GI specialist wanted us to change medications. the transition has been agony.

talk to your doctor about using regular strength mylanta before feedings until the prevacid is ramped up and doing its job. that's what we did, just an itty bit of mylanta before every single feeding to help knock down some of the acid and soothe sore throats before eating. it didn't fix the problem but it made eating less painful while we got through that first week of prevacid.

definitely talk to your doctor first, though, to get a recommendation for dosage.

 

:hug: i don't know when your DD started her prevacid, but it took a full 2 weeks for my DD to get any relief. it was horrible, i thought it was never going to work... i hope things get better for you soon. :hug:

 

Hi, So sorry your both suffering it really isn't fair!

I hope you can get it over there (i'm in the uk) but infant gaviscon is our lifesaver!! For both reflux and silent reflux. It took a couple of feeds for it to kick but what a difference it has made, no more projectile vomit or pain in my babies.
