I was watching Jon & Kate plus 8 tonight and she made edible playdough for the kids. The recipe was:

    Equal parts:

    powdered milk
    honey
    peanut butter

and a little bit of flour

Her kids seemed to LOVE it! I might have to give it a try :)

[SIZE=10pt]I've made it before for my older two and my nephew ~

It doesn't taste too bad ;) The only problem is trying to explain to the kiddos why they can eat the playdoh one time but not another

I remember that episode and meant to write down the recipe, so thank you!! I thought that was pretty cool too.

I'll have to look tomorrow, I also have a recipe for playdough.....not named as edible, but I don't think it would hurt.

    Aha! I found a link !!

Now when I made this growing up, I added scents. If you look in the baking aisle, there's all kinds of things you can use. Banana extract, almond extract (which actually smells like cherries) .... I believe I even found root beer once. Coordinate it with your colors & it's a huge hit!!

A friend's mom made this for us when I was little and I had totally forgotten about it until the post! Thanks for the reminder.

I agree, I think it could be a problem too.

    But neat idea!

We used to make this a lot when I was a kid (30+ years ago) but not as playdoh. The recipe was called "peanut butter honey balls" and we rolled them into little balls. They were very tasty but I can't eat them anymore because of the dairy. I wonder what else I could use in place of the milk powder. Crushed graham crackers, maybe?
